i have to admit when the whole twilight thing happened i was really skeptical..but my friend convinced me to read the book and i loved it so i decided to watch the movie..i thought the movie was horrible..they left out too much stuff that i thought was important to the storyline and probably would have made the movie a lot better overall.

The movie was terrible...I couldn't help laughing the entire time because it was such a joke. Maybe I feel this way because I read the book and just didn't find the actors suiting the characters all that well. Watching it in theaters, I suppose it was inevitable to hear all the little teeny boppers screaming out loud with the "scary" previews for The Unborn (not scary) or cheering every time Rob Pattinson or Taylor Lautner were on the screen. Aside from the theater experience, the movie was crap...I only half blame Catherine Hardwicke. I'm willing to give New Moon a chance with the new director, Chris Weitz, because the previews look decent. We'll see.

Saw the movie first then read the books and honestly I think Rob Pattinson was perfect. (just my opinion lol)

I saw the movie first, thinking I wouldn't really like it, but ended up enjoying it. It drove me to read the book, which I also found entertaining. I was pleased with the way it was converted to film, and especially impressed with the portrayal of emotions, interactions, and "high-school awkwardness" in both versions. I don't think that many movies/tv shows capture those emotions and experiences very well, but Twilight was definitely an exception.

I found the books to be a lot better then the movie, I still enjoyed it but alot of importain details were left out of the movie that should have been in there. IMO. Also kristen stewart acting was a lil off! But still good over all.

i love this movie. i cant wait for New Moon...

SURPRISINGLY LOVED IT! EXPECTED IT TO BE A KIDDY MOVIE, BUT IT'S GREAT FOR ALL AGES!

I love this movie! I can't wait for the other movies to come out.

I saw the movie then read the book. Althought I loved the movie, the book was better in my opnion. I thought that they left out a lot of information (like the Volturi and how Carlile came to be a vampire) that was very important to the story. I still cant wait for New Moon! My daughter (who loves the Twilight Saga and has read all of the books at least 3 times) turns 18 on that same day and we are going to make it a birthday party at the movies.

just not as good as the books were

I love love love twilight! I'm obsessed. I cannot wait until the second movie comes out. I'm oober excited!

Definitely read the book before you see the movie. It's MUCH better. Robert Pattinson's portrayal of Edward was too brooding for me. And, Kristin Stewart did not fit my image of Bella at all.

You have to remember that this movie was a LOW BUDGET movie. The money backers didn't anticipate the "Twilight" following. I thought it was great considering. I am looking forward to "New Moon." Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!

Definitely for a female teen. Nothing special about it if you're older than that.

I loved the books, but I just wish that the movie would have been longer. Look at the Harry Potter books, about the same length in writting and the movies are three hours. I thought people would loved it to be longer like that. I hope the next one is. I want to see mroe detail.
