I usually like the book more than the movie, and this movie held true to my findings. Nice movie with poor acting. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater and waited for the DVD. I did watch the movie AFTER reading all 4 books.

I love these books and the movie did a pretty good job. The book is obviously better, but I still enjoyed the movie.

I hate scary movies so i was a bit scared to watch it at first, but i couldnt take my eyes off the movie the entire time. I disagree with iheartjulie, i thought the two main charachters hit it off really well, and i have to say i had some lovely dreams about wanting to become a vampire.lol

I LOVE this movie! I have watched it a few times. I just finished reading all the books ( i didn't want to have to wait for all the movies to know what was going to happen). Now I can't wait to see the next movie just to see how it plays out if its anything like the books. SO excited can't wait until November 20th!!!!

I did LOVE the movie. Loved the book MORE, but still loved the movie.

Didn't think I would like it but I LOVED it. The whole forbidden love thing I guess.

The book is most definitely better than the movie but that almost always seems to be the case, setting that aside the movie was well acted and i enjoyed looking at the similarities between the book and the movie i thought the cinematography was done very creatively over all it was pretty well done.

Per usual the book was of course better then the movie, but I have to say the movie beat my expectations considerbly. The budget was pretty low for this film but yet it was done pretty well. The acting was great! I am a huge fan and can not wait for the second movie!

I did not read the books but cannot stop watching the movie! I usually do not get into this genre, but the movie was such a wonderful example of true love I couldn't help myself once I started watching it! There is real chemisty between the two characters, and maybe it is because I am 23, but Edward Cullen definitely melts my heart!

omg.! i love this movie.i saw it like a million times. i cannot wait until new moon comes out. but i would love to try reading the books.

I enjoyed the movie but the book was definately better. I am currently reading the third book in the set. My kids enjoyed it. There wasn't a lot of blood and a nice story without all the extras that kids don't need to see.

I really enjoyed the movie (that I must admit, I saw before I read the book). I went with my teenage daughter and she filled in any missing details. She really loves this series and going to this movie gave us an excuse to have a girl's night out. A lot of girls really love this movie so even if you aren't a huge fan, if your daughter is, it's worthwhile watching to have something to enjoy together. My daughter and I have been having some great discussions about the book and what the next movie will be like. We watched the trailer together and afterward I told her she could see the next movie with her girlfriends if she wanted...she immediately asked why she would do such a thing when this [Twilight] is "our thing." It made me feel really good to know that my 16 year old daughter still enjoys hanging out with her mom and is actually looking forward to our girl's night in November, when the next movie is released!

I found that the book was 10 times better than the movie but I have come to the realization that that is to be expected, you cannot fit every detail into a movie and you cannot market 10 hour movies. While I though the movie was just "ok" I do look forward to seeing New Moon and the rest of the collection to see how the movies evolve.
