My husband, a pilot as well as a pastor, was asked to perform a wedding ceremony while on a hot air balloon ride. The day came but the weather didn't cooperate so the flight and wedding were postponed to the next day. Plan B had a similar problem so for safety's sake, the flight and wedding were indefinitely postponed. I am not sure but I think the wedding was never held--I know the balloon flight never took place.

My husband spent the night before our wedding working until the wee hours of the morning, with the help of two of our wedding guests, to finish the wiring on the Theatre where we were to be married! i was a Total nervous wreck! But they did it, and we were married there, and the band could plug in their amplifiers and all was well! PHEW!

The caterer had a van accident and never showed up and we had no food at the wedding reception.

I once went to a friends wedding and just before the bridal party walked in I got a severe case of the giggles. I can't recall what was said but it was giggle loop levels of giggling. I was nearly hyperventilating I was giggling so hard, and I could NOT stop . I finally had to run to the bathroom to compose myself and missed them walking in.

My older sister was 4 months pregnant with her first child and was a chuppah holder at my wedding. During the ceremony, she decided to make a scene and started breathing hard and saying she had to sit down IMMEDIATELY. (She was really fine the whole time.) Our youngest sister (10 years old!) then had to step in and take over the pole holding. Got it all on video...

During our vows, my husband stated "with this wing, I thee Wed" .... apparently he was hungry. Then to top it off, the next day he lost his wedding band in the Gulf of Mexico, while playing football on the beach with friends. We ended up spending part of our wedding money to try and locate the ring! (It was found!!!!)

My sister was at the end of her wedding ceremony and when she and her new husband were about to walk down the aisle. The best man tripped and fell into my sister, knocking her down. Nobody was hurt but it was not something that anyone would like to repeat. Everyone got back up and walked down the aisle. WHEW!

We have a picture when during the kiss the ring bearer is leaning way over trying to see what is going on.

Well my first marriage was doomed from the start, I passed out, got sick and when our pictures came back, none of them turned out! It was terrible!

While sitting at the head table during her wedding, a friend of mine was getting up for a dance, when her shoe got caught on the edge of her wedding gown. It happened so fast, but she sort of spun around and then upside down width the chair kind of on top of her and the wedding gown spread out all over her head and body, and arms and legs flailing, like an upside-down turtle. What make it even worse was that her husband just stood there for about five seconds, not knowing what to do! She was okay, but to this day, everybody remembers that wedding!

A friend called me up and said the groom just wasn't ready. I'm not sure if she meant literally or figuratively. I think it was she who wasn't ready.

we attended a wedding years ago that was struck by a tropical storm. it was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, but the chairs and everything were getting knocked around and things were getting really messy. the reception ran off a generator, so the lights for the whole place were quite dim most of the time. food was lukewarm. noone was surprised when about 14 months later the bride left the groom....her mistake. he is a fantastic guy! but anyway, the relationship was not a good one, so i guess the odd experience makes sense looking back on it.

We were married at an Embassy Suites. The ceremony was to take place in the atrium under the gazebo. If you've ever been in an Embassy Suites you know that you can see down to the atrium from all floors. Unbeknownst to me right before I was to leave my room to get in the elevator to get in place to walk down the hotel the child of a hotel desk got their head stuck between an upper floor railing while looking down into the atrium to see what was going on. The kid was screaming and crying. After the ceremony my guests all came over to me telling me my ceremony was almost ruined because hotel staff couldn't get the kid's head out from between the railing and they thought paramedics would have to be called. Luckily they got his head out right before I came down in the elevator to walk down the aisle.
