The ring bearer announced in the middle of the ceremony that he had to poop.

We were having our wedding in the back yard. It had rained quite a bit the night before, so we put plywood down over the wet grass. The music played, and I was proceeding to walk to the beautiful flower arch for the ceremony, when my high heel got caught between the plywood boards. Down I went :-( Embarrassed and a bit shaken, I got up and declared, "Guess those dance lessons were a waste of money!"

I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and we had to take the elevator upstairs in the church. So the bride and 3 of the bridesmaids started up the elevator. Just then the power went out and the elevator got stuck. Firemen showed up and tried to get all the girls out. It was more than an hour and a half before everyone was out and by that time guests had already started arriving. Even though the wedding started late and guests were uncomfortably warm, it was a beautiful day and something we will never forget.

My niece sprained her ankle coming down the stairs the morning of her wedding. She wasn't able to wear the high heels that she had picked out for the day. She had to wear flats, but no one noticed until she told us afterwards.

I have been at a wedding where the flower girl wanted to do her own thing.

It was my wedding. We wanted to save some money on the video so we set up the camera ourselves at the altar and my husband-to-be was going to flip the switch on when he came out to take his place. Well.....he forgot! So we don't have a video of our ceremony :(

We were married on July 4th in a church with no air conditioning. I had on a long-sleeved, high-neck gown that was HEAVY with beads. Standing next to my husband as our minister was performing the ceremony, I kept wiping my face with a hankie I carried. I started to feel dizzy and started swaying and my husband grabbed my hand and whispered was I alright. I said I think I might faint and just then, I did! So embarrassing. I chose my gown with an October wedding in mind as I don't tolerate heat. Would not have picked July for my wedding but that's what happens when you have an overbearing mother and don't stick up for yourself!

Everything seemed to be good to go. Everyone was ready, including myself (on the biggest day of my life - really?). My matron of honor turned and looked at me and said, "Where is your marriage license?" A feeling of despair came over me. I had left it at home!!! My matron of honor sent her husband to my house to locate the license and bring it back to the venue. As if the day wasn't stressful enough! At least we can look back on it and laugh now!

Our wedding was great, except when I forgot my vows. The priest had to prompt me. But we had several mishaps on our honeymoon. I got sunburned on the second day and had to sleep in the spare bed. My husband got a really bad case of food poisoning and lost his wedding ring in the ocean. But on the last day, we found $150 floating in the water, so we went out and had a super expensive dinner to end the week on a high note.

I was at a friends wedding when the power went out, delaying dinner service by about an hour.

The mishap that sticks in my mind is where the priest kept mentioning the former wife's name during he ceremony. Easy to understand, though ... the groom (my dad's friends) had been married about 5 times ... twice to the same women (I think?). AWK-ward!

After we were pronounced man and wife we turned around to walk down the aisle and all of our groomsmen had on the big black glasses with big noses. We both burst out laughing and even to my MIL being upset with us We took wedding pics with us both wearing the glasses!

It was my wedding. My husband's tux was too tight, especially around the neck. His head looks like it was oozing out of his shirt. After the ceremony, he loosened his shirt and a bright red ring was all the way around his neck. It looked like he had just removed a noose. It was a running joke all night, that he couldn't escape our wedding.

We eloped!! I was so excited, throwing my bags out of the window and off we went, but when it came time to get ready I was a nervous wreck and nearly passed out. Couldn't even put my own shoes on. As the minister was stating our vows I was swaying and about went out, they only thing that kept me 'afloat' was he kept saying our names wrong. We ended up getting married by two different names HA HA! I guess that's what you get when you get married by a stranger. Thankfully our names are right on our certificates!
