My younger sister has been always extremely great at sports. She followed me when playing field hockey and became the youngest player to be placed on a varsity team when she entered 8th grade. It was wonderful watching her play and she continued to play in college.

I'm a FOOTBALL MOM and I love it! My kids are a DELIGHT and the camaraderie of sports has made them even more generous and giving than they were before and I love how they have made so many great friends!

I work for a children's sports program, so I see how sports benefit children all the time. We have an autistic girl that plays soccer with us. After about 3 yrs, she is finally coming out of her shell and actually playing soccer. She interacts with her teammates and coaches so much more than she use to.

My kids play sports and I stressed to them that having fun is No 1! So my first question is always did you have fun, rather than how did you do

A now teenage neighbor has been actively involved in organized soccer from an early age. This has so helped her become a very respectful and responsible young lady. Also, I think the sports involvement has helped her to focus on her studies.

My brother was not a fit kid. He always had troubles with his weight no matter how he ate. He started running, and began doing marathons. I tried to help him by training with him, weather it was stretching, running, or simply trying to eat the right foods before hand. It gave us a chance to bond, and he lost 125 lbs, and put on a lot of muscle. He is way happier with his lifestyle now, even though it still takes a lot of dedication.

My little one was very clumsy and always fell down, now that i put her in a gymnastics class, she feels more confident and likes to run around with the bigger kids and climb higher than she's ever have!

My daughter was so competitive that it was interfering with her ability to make friends. We enrolled her in soccer where she learned sportsmanship, teamwork, and it helped 'feed' her competitive side so she could make friends much better! I loved seeing that transformation in her and supported her team and her as they played!
