Young athletes today might not be elite athletes (yet), but they love to play sports. But today, they might feel like nobodies, with big dreams of being somebodies. POWERADE believes that with the right motivation these everyday athletes can realize their potential and one day be the athletes that they look up to. POWERADE is celebrating this potential in the “Just A Kid” campaign. We want to hear about how you support young athletes and the story behind what helped him or her reach their full potential.

My kids love Powerade. My middle son is a runner and he has a Powerade with him on most days.
my seven year old is doing great with soccer and I love watching him play as a team
my niece always wanted to quit her cross country team because she had the slowest times, so i started doing extra practices with her and she became motivated to work harder and improve her skills. a couple years later she is one of the top varsity runners and stays after to help her younger teammates improve.
My grandson loves basketball, this sport has been a positive influence in his life with discipline has really improved in all areas of his school studies.

My cousin! She plays sports to destress. :)
My son LOVES anything sports! I love his enthusiasm!
Even if they no longer dance, the girls (now women!) I grew up dancing with carry the lessons we learned with us.
My daughter, much to the delight of me and my Midwestern family, has decided she wants to play basketball. I watch games with her, we play for hours, and I encourage her passion.
My son has severe ADHD and bipolar disorder. We do everything we can to help him get into sports and also help him keep his skills in the off season. He is an avid wrestler and loves football as well. Those two are great for him because they make him concentrate the whole time. I am very much a sideline coach, which my husband laughs about. I have learned these 2 sports right along with him which personally I think it's better because he knows that I know the rules and everything because I have been at every practice and every game that's he's ever had.
My daughter is a athlete and she is so positive and always builds other up while always being such a go getter.
my son! he has found his sweet sport-SOCCER!!! He loves to be on the field and he open up when he plays! Its his favorite sport and we cannot wait til spring to play again!
