My boys 7 & 11 Play Baseball, soccer and football, we live in a small town, sports have taught them how to make friends and work together as a team, its help build their self confidence, and most importantly the fun aspect of the game and its not all about winning.

my 8 year old nephew has been positively impacted by sports. Baseball allows him the means necessary to escape from the harsh realities of life. I wont go into the negative things occuring in this childs life; but I will say that sports play a positive role in his life and I'm glad he has them as an outlet

My nephew has autism and we stood up to the coach to get him on the field. Took a group of us mom's banding together for one amazing kid. He now gets at least 10 mins of play each game. Before he would spend all his time on the bench. He deserves a chance too.

Vermont Lake Monsters visit our school and hang out with the little kiddos teaching them to play baseball. We will have them back every year, they are so inspirational and patient with the preschoolers I teach :)

Growing up my best friend and I would always play and practice basketball together. As time went on we were both fortunate to play high school and college level basketball. Only difference was his harder work and dedication landed him a scholarship which carried him through four years of college to ultimately earn his degree. I am proud, happy and a believer in hard work pays off.

My son has been into sports since he was 5 (right around the time his father past away) and now has chosen his sport of soccer! I am proud of his coping system! I completely support him in this decision!

Both of my kids play baseball. One of my sons was very introverted...so quiet with no friends. With the help of his older brother, he joined our local team and has since THRIVED! He is more fun loving, has lots of friends.
