The struggling fast-food giant's sales have fallen recently and their new CEO, Steve Easterbrook, unveiled a turnaround plan on Monday morning. And he did not mince words when discussing the company's problems.
Recognizing that recent performance was "poor" and that "the numbers don't lie" - some of the challenges he faces are:
But what Easterbrook really wants to change is the quality of the food and the stale brand image. He stressed that they need to innovate more. What do you think?

Focus on fresher, higher quality of ingredients like meat. When we see meal that is years old, not deteriorating at all, people start to wonder what it will do in our stomachs. The meat patties are so thin and frozen so quick vs quality wins here.
better quality meat, healthier options
I think they should offer more side items besides just fries. They could offer fruit such as Chic Fil a, a salad, baked potato, or chili as Wendys, or onion rings as Burger King. There are so many other options out there and McDonalds needs to up their game with a better menu. However, their prices would probably rise also.
I'm hoping McDonald's will add more salad choices to their menu. They only have three and out of those three, only one is my favorite. I'd eat in their restaurants more frequently if they had a larger salad selection.
McDonalds needs to have a better quality tasty burger. If the quality and taste is there, people don't mind paying a higher price.
Yes, I feel like there are a lot of other "high end" burger chains opening up and with McDonald's increasing prices it drives us to look for other places to eat on the go.
Their food just doesnt taste good anymore. Time to upgrade with fresh somewhat healthy foods that are natural and taste good. The food sits in my stomach like a big rock, it is awful. Consumers are looking for fresh healthy but food that is recognizable and tasty. They need to change with the times. Get ahead of the game with some gluten free choices, some ethnic choices maybe! Some good food that people can take to work with them. Mcdonalds doesnt have to mean fries and burgers and nuggets.
expand to different menu items to change it up add more variety
I would like to see baked French fries instead of fried as baked is healthier. Also not serving fries with salt on them would be great as well since the fries get really salty sometimes and I can not eat them when that happens.
Prices for meals are inflated so I would say lower those prices--honestly I never buy them anymore because of that. Also, Mcdonalds coupons come once in a while but are still scarce. Wendys and BK send out so many more and I feel if Mcdonalds sent out more coupons that would help them out a lot in terms of business.
removing additives like Panera and using high quality ingredients would be great
Improve the quality of the ingredients.
Stop frying everything! Healthy is simple basic way of making a sandwich without all those secret sauces that are high in fat and calories. Use real cheese - not processed. And I would suggest that you give a bottle of water with every meal. They come in because they are hungry not thirsty
They need to improve there over all service.
I would like alternative sides for adult meals, like the kids meal. Healthier side options would be nice for us adults as well. It would help us set a better example for our kids to see us eating a small salad or apples with our meal.
