Where does the time go! Summer is over, school is back in session and the holidays are quickly approaching.

For many (if not all) of us, time passes way too quickly and we can easily put our jobs and our families ahead of our own health and peace of mind.

We're not saying ignore the kids, let your spouse fend for himself, or start slacking off at work. But, we want to make sure you're also making some time for yourself and that you don't leave it to January 2012. Fall is a perfect time to reboot, the weather is cooler for an outdoor jog or stroll and it’s easy to picture your renewed, fitter self in a few months, at a holiday party or family gathering.

So let's start today!

We all know it’s not just about diet. When was the last time you got a good night's sleep? Had a great workout? Or got a massage? Do you have an endless To-Do list that’s keeping you from taking a walk? Do you want to try yoga, boxing or P90X?

Well this week, SheSpeaks wants to help give you some tips and a friendly boost to Reboot Your Body. And, we're enlisting the SheSpeaks community to help with their collective wisdom and cheerful advice. So, we're asking each of you to share your tip, your words of wisdom, whatever you've learned along the way that has helped you and might help someone else!

Comment on this blog post below with your words of wisdom and enter to WIN one of the  items below that will help you Reboot Your Body Today! The contest starts Thursday, September 22nd and ends midnight EST Tuesday, September 27th.

Here’s a tip from a member of the SheSpeaks team:

If you’re looking to lose weight, the “My Fitness Pal” app on the iPhone is ridiculously helpful. You enter how much you weigh now, how much you want to weigh and it will tell you how many calories you can intake a day and track it. Enter everything you eat each day (as specific as the Cosi signature salad) and whatever exercise you do and it will tell you how many calories you ate, how many you have left (if any) and exactly how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a great way to know exactly where the weight is coming from and how to lose it!

And these are the prizes!

Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation DVD System (over $50)

Gaiam Total Body Balance Ball Kit

Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer

YogaAccessories 1/4” Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

Good Luck!

The best thing you can do to reboot your system is to take a break from your current activity and either try something new...If you work out all of the time inside..try going out once and a while... If you run...try walking if you do step try yoga... don't be afraid to learn something new... it gives your old muscles a chance to relax and works another part of your body.

when i need a quick reboot, i soak in a hot bath with epsom salt, with a cup of hot herbal tea, and light some scented candles. it's cheap so i don't feel guilty about the $$ and after that I can just go to bed!

After a long day of work and then coming home to prepare supper for my Family.... nothing speaks more to me than a nice walk around the pond path after supper. The trees are changing their colors and there is a little crispness to the air. Slap on a hoodie...get the dog ready with his harness...get the Ipod and headset. This is the all time thing to Reboot myself after a long day. Just me, my dog and the Ipod to take a mile and half walk around the pond. Gives you time to clear your head after a long day.

I am just now trying to take better care of myself. I still do not have a lot of time for myself, but i still try to get in a 5-7 mins. workout. I want to try to do better for myself, I take good care of my family and never pay any attention to myself. So, I'm reading all the comments and hope that they will help me alone the way. So, far the workout makes me feel good.

I'm actually doing this RIGHT NOW! I am "rebooting" my body and my mind by re-committing to my favorite go-to plan: Denise Austin's Daily Dozen. When In reboot stage, I have to be careful of the "all or nothing" mindset, and this plan is so incredibly easy to do yet the results are fantastic. The meal plan is for 3 weeks, and is full of all of my favorite foods - and yes I break out the measuring cups again! And the Daily workouts are great. She's right that everyone has 12 minutes a day to fit in some exercise, although I combine 2 or 3 of the workouts and do them in the morning before work. And then you're DONE for the day, and you feel so great that you've accomplished something good for yourself, that you just want to do more and continue the next day.

Especially in the fail, I enjoy trail running on a scenic trail in the mountains. It gives me a time to increase my heart rate, sweat, and take in God's beauty all at the same time in a extremely calming and peaceful atmosphere.

helping out in your local community is a fantastic way to make you feel better!! as tired and worn out as i might be feeling, helping out a local family, child or charity completely makes me forget about my worries and focus on someone else. when i'm done i realize how invigorating i feel and so do the people you've helped out.

I learned that after working out I would gain the appetite of a man. So having healthy snacks on hand that are easily accessible is good.

I meet with friends for a walk followed by coffee. We get some exercise and catch up on what has been going on. I feel totally re-energized after the exercise, some laughs and a little caffeine.

For me the best way to reboot is to take a leisurely stroll along the beach and look for little goodies, shells, crinoids, glass and more. Listening to the water is so relaxing and there is almost always a nice breeze to enjoy as I walk along.

I think as mothers we need to reboot all the time....i have 6 kids and it does help to relax at times ...My sister in law takes them for the weekend sometimes and i enjoy that....I could actually grocery shop in a normal looking shopping cart...i pretty much keep it simple because it doesnt make sense to overwhelm yourself because thats the whole point of being alone....i also have to get my ice coffee....So enjoy and dont wait til your tired ....We do need that "Reboot" i know it helps for me...Enjoy your weekend i know i will!!

Coming to getting healthy, for me, is so much more than exercising; I have noticed that if I focus on reprogramming that little voice inside to say NICE things about me, then I am naturally happier. As an added bonus, I find that I'm not as stressed, and I naturally tend to eat better and want to work out.

I just joined Weight Watchers, for the third time, and for the first time after having both of my babies. Their new Points Plus is a lot easier to follow, plus I am a nursing mama and get so many extra points! I drink lots of water and I also started doing KettleWerx ....again. It uses fluid motions that work multiple muscles at one time. It's really hard, but this is my second week and am already seeing results with only twenty minutes per workout! I can't wait to look and feel great again! I would love to win one of these prizes!
