Where does the time go! Summer is over, school is back in session and the holidays are quickly approaching.

For many (if not all) of us, time passes way too quickly and we can easily put our jobs and our families ahead of our own health and peace of mind.

We're not saying ignore the kids, let your spouse fend for himself, or start slacking off at work. But, we want to make sure you're also making some time for yourself and that you don't leave it to January 2012. Fall is a perfect time to reboot, the weather is cooler for an outdoor jog or stroll and it’s easy to picture your renewed, fitter self in a few months, at a holiday party or family gathering.

So let's start today!

We all know it’s not just about diet. When was the last time you got a good night's sleep? Had a great workout? Or got a massage? Do you have an endless To-Do list that’s keeping you from taking a walk? Do you want to try yoga, boxing or P90X?

Well this week, SheSpeaks wants to help give you some tips and a friendly boost to Reboot Your Body. And, we're enlisting the SheSpeaks community to help with their collective wisdom and cheerful advice. So, we're asking each of you to share your tip, your words of wisdom, whatever you've learned along the way that has helped you and might help someone else!

Comment on this blog post below with your words of wisdom and enter to WIN one of the  items below that will help you Reboot Your Body Today! The contest starts Thursday, September 22nd and ends midnight EST Tuesday, September 27th.

Here’s a tip from a member of the SheSpeaks team:

If you’re looking to lose weight, the “My Fitness Pal” app on the iPhone is ridiculously helpful. You enter how much you weigh now, how much you want to weigh and it will tell you how many calories you can intake a day and track it. Enter everything you eat each day (as specific as the Cosi signature salad) and whatever exercise you do and it will tell you how many calories you ate, how many you have left (if any) and exactly how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a great way to know exactly where the weight is coming from and how to lose it!

And these are the prizes!

Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation DVD System (over $50)

Gaiam Total Body Balance Ball Kit

Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer

YogaAccessories 1/4” Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

Good Luck!

Re-Boot My Body tip is to get outside and walk. Walk every night and enjoy some time to yourself. Drink a lot of water to hydrate.

Veggies are a great filling food for little calories. Try to cut back on Starchy foods and replace them with veggies. I don't always have time for exercise, but I can do a 20 min walk in the morning, and a 20 min. walk in the evening. Breaking it up I can get 2 miles in without spending 40 min. all at once. Even if something comes up in the evening, I at least got 1 mile in.

I am not allowed to much sun since my body doesnt process it right, so fall and winter are my times to shine!!! I LOVE the cloudy days! I happen to live right by a lake with a 7.5 mile trail! I also happen to have a dog who loves his mama and is willing to go even when the kids arent!..PLUS you get fresh apples, apple cider, fresh winter squash, harvest festivals, corn roast, cool morning and evenings out on the porch, hot cup of tea in hand watching the rain cascade down...what more could you want!

Even though I do not always have time for work-outs I have some little tricks to keep in shape: drink my water, drink a cup of green tea per day and 3 days a week I'm a vegetarian

I have gained to much weight since I quit smoking. I love the fresh air, so I go outside and take in a deep breath (I live in the country) then I go for a nice long walk. I try to keep fruits in the house also.

It's very important to get enough sleep for your body to repair itself after your workouts. I like to sleep with the windows open to refresh me and my house!

i have started to stack my refrigerator in the kitchen with just healthy food, i have fruits, veggies and soya milk. i keep ice cream in the freezer in the garage,so that if i get the craving, i will have to walk a few steps more to get it. i drink a lot of soya milk and eat edamames, but my pick up minute is just to relax and drink a hot cup of tea.

I make sure that I walk 30 minutes six days a week. I throw in some weight lifting too, but my main exercise is walking. I have found that it keeps me in shape, clears my mind and just makes me feel better overall. I also lost about 35 pounds and went from a size 12 to a size 4, and have managed to keep it off for over a year now, so walking has clearly worked for me.

Its all about writing it down, I have lost 100 pounds and it so easy to mindlessly snack but if your forced to write it down you stop snacking. The other best advice I have is move first thing in the morning before everyone else is awake. Take 20 minutes and raise your heart rate, get the blood pumping and drink lots of water. Enjoy the Fall and take the time to reboot your body!!

I make a reservation the day prior for a racquetball court and text 3 other people to play doubles with. The next day, sometimes I'm tired, or had a rough day and I don't feel like working out, but since I made plans to meet with friends, I have to show up. And once I get there, I never regret going! I always feel great after!

To reboot, I love to take a long, leisure walk, taking in all the nature I can. Not only healthy, but very peaceful.

I found having a walking buddy has really been a benefit to me, even on days I don't want to go I'll go as I know someone is counting on me...

One of my fave tips is cucumber water. Add a few cucumber slices to your water for a refreshing taste and a little perk me up.

For me to reboot, I re-evaluate my mental self. I find when I get so caught up in the day to day that I forget all the blessings that I really have. So I try to remember everyday all the wonderful blessings that I have, my beautiful family, wonderful friends, a job (that I may not like) keeping a roof over my families head and just a very special life! The happier I am mentally, the better I eat and the more active I find myself

When I get off work, I need to de-stress. I ride the bus, and it's about a 35 minute ride. I read - and I can forget all about the work stress. Reading cleanses my mind, and helps me to wind down. Then I get home and my 3 cats greet me at the door - and that relaxes me even more! By now, I'm ready to jump on the elliptical and work up a sweat. Wow - after all that, I feel great!!!
