Where does the time go! Summer is over, school is back in session and the holidays are quickly approaching.

For many (if not all) of us, time passes way too quickly and we can easily put our jobs and our families ahead of our own health and peace of mind.

We're not saying ignore the kids, let your spouse fend for himself, or start slacking off at work. But, we want to make sure you're also making some time for yourself and that you don't leave it to January 2012. Fall is a perfect time to reboot, the weather is cooler for an outdoor jog or stroll and it’s easy to picture your renewed, fitter self in a few months, at a holiday party or family gathering.

So let's start today!

We all know it’s not just about diet. When was the last time you got a good night's sleep? Had a great workout? Or got a massage? Do you have an endless To-Do list that’s keeping you from taking a walk? Do you want to try yoga, boxing or P90X?

Well this week, SheSpeaks wants to help give you some tips and a friendly boost to Reboot Your Body. And, we're enlisting the SheSpeaks community to help with their collective wisdom and cheerful advice. So, we're asking each of you to share your tip, your words of wisdom, whatever you've learned along the way that has helped you and might help someone else!

Comment on this blog post below with your words of wisdom and enter to WIN one of the  items below that will help you Reboot Your Body Today! The contest starts Thursday, September 22nd and ends midnight EST Tuesday, September 27th.

Here’s a tip from a member of the SheSpeaks team:

If you’re looking to lose weight, the “My Fitness Pal” app on the iPhone is ridiculously helpful. You enter how much you weigh now, how much you want to weigh and it will tell you how many calories you can intake a day and track it. Enter everything you eat each day (as specific as the Cosi signature salad) and whatever exercise you do and it will tell you how many calories you ate, how many you have left (if any) and exactly how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a great way to know exactly where the weight is coming from and how to lose it!

And these are the prizes!

Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation DVD System (over $50)

Gaiam Total Body Balance Ball Kit

Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer

YogaAccessories 1/4” Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

Good Luck!

I work at a gym and we have 2 different women that come in twice a week and do a zumba class I have never did it myself but the pepeole who do do it leave there talking about how great it was and how they just love it and it was fun it was not like they had just had a work out . I would try it but those are usley the nights or days that I work and so I do not get to be there for it . I thank that it would be a fun and really great way to work out at home and it would not seam like you was working out.

I am 49 years old. I usually don't drink milk, but lately I have been craving it! We only drink skim milk so I know it is good for me. My favorite snack is edamame with sea salt. My husband even likes them. My way to detox is to sit in my sunroom in the evening with candles lit, windows open, and reading a good book! When I'm reading, I escape to somewhere else and all problems here are forgotten! I teach first grade and I tell my students that reading is like traveling to new places!!!

I walk the bridge @ sunrise or sunset. I love to smell the seabreeze & look closely for wildlife.

Try a personal trainer/ dietitian for a month to see how you like it. Here's why: 1. For the cost of dinner for two you can feel better. 2. Half hour, two or three times a week is less than the amount of time you spend reading your junk mail. 3. If you have a significant other, they will love the new you. (plus exercise increases libido) 4. More importantly, you will love the new you! 5. Learn life changing eating tips, not fad diets! 6. At least for me, if I am paying for the advice, I am sure to get my moneys worth out of it! Try a "personal" trainer from a studio rather than a big commercial gym. Check credentials and get testimonials. A good trainer will have live customers willing to sing their praises! Remember, you are their paying customer, if they are not providing you with what you need find someone who will!

To reboot my body AND my booty I switch up my workout by taking classes three or four times a week. Being in a group setting increases energy and there is a bit of a competitive edge that gets me going. Kickboxing and zumba are my favorites because they are never boring. I work alot so if I dont have time for a class I will get out and take a brisk walk on my lunch break and use the time to refocus and re-energize.

Sometimes we get overwhelmed with all of the information we receive about being healthy and think we need to do everything and most of the time we do nothing. Think about small changes you can do to make yourself more healthy: switching one sugary drink for a glass of water, eating a piece of fruit instead of a cookie, etc.

Park father away from the store doorway so that you will get a few more steps in and take the stairs whenever you get a chance ...little by little you will build more endurance and strength :)

My idea to reboot is a little different form most people but it works for me. I like ot go out deer hunting. To sit out in the tree early in the morning as the sun comes up and watch the woods wake up is wonderful. I cna hear the first birds of the day, the first squirells, if I'm lucky I can see a few deer amble through. I like it best when there is a light frost on the ground and watch the sun dance off of it until it dries. I feel like a new person when I come back home.

Re-Boot ! I am a firm believer that you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to. I have been trying to lose weight for years and have tried many different workouts. I finally came across Zumba and it changed everything ! From the first week I was hooked, catchy music, easy to learn instructions, and most importantly FUN ! I learned to monitor my sugar and carb intake and pair that with plenty of water and was able to lose over 30 lbs in six months ! Finally, I feel like I have accomplished something for myself !

I have a neurological condition that often makes me very tired. I have had to challenge myself to find ways to re-boot. Peppermint tea and green tea is both beneficial to your body and refreshes you helping to get thru that mid day slump. While I heat the water fir the tea I do some self positive affirmation meditations focus's myself breathing in and out, As i blow air out I picture my tired body blowing away and the new breaths bringing me in energy. As I drink my tea I often play music, and do some stretches to get my blood flowing.

After a long day at work, it's often difficult to motivate myself into putting a lot of time into exercise. I remind myself that even a short 20 minute exercise routine relieves stress, produces endorphins and, in the long run, will produce results. Instead of going to a gym, I use DVD's at home and rotate the workouts so I'm working different parts of the body. On a day when I'm too sore or too tired to work out, I grab my husband and we go for a walk around the neighborhood. Always remind yourself that YOU are in control and, if you want something to be different, you have the power to change it.
