Where does the time go! Summer is over, school is back in session and the holidays are quickly approaching.

For many (if not all) of us, time passes way too quickly and we can easily put our jobs and our families ahead of our own health and peace of mind.

We're not saying ignore the kids, let your spouse fend for himself, or start slacking off at work. But, we want to make sure you're also making some time for yourself and that you don't leave it to January 2012. Fall is a perfect time to reboot, the weather is cooler for an outdoor jog or stroll and it’s easy to picture your renewed, fitter self in a few months, at a holiday party or family gathering.

So let's start today!

We all know it’s not just about diet. When was the last time you got a good night's sleep? Had a great workout? Or got a massage? Do you have an endless To-Do list that’s keeping you from taking a walk? Do you want to try yoga, boxing or P90X?

Well this week, SheSpeaks wants to help give you some tips and a friendly boost to Reboot Your Body. And, we're enlisting the SheSpeaks community to help with their collective wisdom and cheerful advice. So, we're asking each of you to share your tip, your words of wisdom, whatever you've learned along the way that has helped you and might help someone else!

Comment on this blog post below with your words of wisdom and enter to WIN one of the  items below that will help you Reboot Your Body Today! The contest starts Thursday, September 22nd and ends midnight EST Tuesday, September 27th.

Here’s a tip from a member of the SheSpeaks team:

If you’re looking to lose weight, the “My Fitness Pal” app on the iPhone is ridiculously helpful. You enter how much you weigh now, how much you want to weigh and it will tell you how many calories you can intake a day and track it. Enter everything you eat each day (as specific as the Cosi signature salad) and whatever exercise you do and it will tell you how many calories you ate, how many you have left (if any) and exactly how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a great way to know exactly where the weight is coming from and how to lose it!

And these are the prizes!

Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation DVD System (over $50)

Gaiam Total Body Balance Ball Kit

Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer

YogaAccessories 1/4” Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

Good Luck!

The best way to REBOOT your body or what works for me is- to check myself on my attitude- When I have a feel sorry for myself attitude, it shows, I eat and sleep poorly and I skip out on exercise. But when I train myself to stay positive and make smart choices, everything works better full circle. Exercise helps you sleep better. Eating right helps you to exercise better =) Read some inspirational quotes, I am a quote junky!

I've recently learned the word "no" when asked to do something or go somewhere. I am a full-time working mom with two young children and one on the way and this word was never in my vocabulary before now. It's my way of freeing up some time in my busy schedule to make more time for me.

I keep grapes, strawberries and blueberries washed and in the fridge so when I'm looking for something sweet I can just grab a handful because they're ready to go. When I achieve a weightloss goal I like to treat myself. Depending on the goal would depend on the treat, it might be a mani/pedi, a new workout outfit or something fun for the house.

Drinking water is so important for your body and for weight loss. A lot of us think about it during the heat in the summer but tend to slack off on drinking in the winter time. Drinking water is good for your skin, kidney function, helps you feel more full to cut back on eating, and so much more

For me my time is always consumed with work or doing for other people. It is a real struggle sometimes to find time for myself. Two Saturdays a month I schedule mornings for me to do what I like. Read a book, sip hot tea, or go for a long walk on a nature trail.

I recently joined WW because my eating has gotten out of control. I'm a busy mom of 3 and kept using the excuse, "I'm too busy to exercise every day, so why bother dieting?" I used that excuse for 2 years! I finally realized that I need to stop being so hard on myself and I need to set small goals. Dieting doesn't just help you lose weight - it helps you to make healthy choices. So step one was to get back to eating healthy, which is mainly portion control for me. The next goal was to just exercise when I can. Whether it's twice a week, or four times a week. I feel so much better about myself because moms often forget how to take care of ourselves! So stop beating yourself up, and set small goals to take care of you!

I love the fall weather! It enables me to get moving outside and include some family time with my husband and kids. In the evenings after we get home from work and school, we take a "family road trip"... We hit the pavement that is! My oldest daughter usually rides her bike while my husband and I walk and/or jog. I push my 3 year old in her stroller (which burns extra calories). We talk about how our day went, our new and current interest, and maybe come up with an interesting twist on what we are going to have for dinner. It is a great way to unwind, spend some quality family time, and get in some great exercise... esp with the invigorating cooler temps!

Everyone has a different thing that they do to relax, so just find time to DO IT and make ME time a priority! A movie of my choice, alone, with my own soda and popcorn I do not have to share is the BEST

To Reboot my body, refresh and re-energize myself~ detox with a Detox Bath at night before bed once a week. 1 C each of epsom salt, baking soda and vinegar. Soak in hot water for 20-40 minutes. It pulls out toxins to relieve headaches, relieve sore muscles and back tension, soothes any dry skin or rashes, helps you sleep like a log. You wake up very refreshed and energized the next morning. I can always tell if I have not made time to do this, so do many others I have got started on this home remedy.

I use the Calorie Count feature on about.com (and on Android) to keep track of my daily food intake and I actually write in "me time" on my to-do list so I *have* to take time to myself. ^_^

A lot of people think a massage is the best way to try to reboot your body. It helps relax you and work out muscle tension, but I think that a facial is a better way. Facials make your skin feel so good and refreshed! Also, in most facials you will get a light neck and shoulder massage too. :)
