Was not a fan at all. Don't get what all the hype is bout.

I thought this book was good, but I didn't love it as most of the other readers did. It was unique and creative. I liked the characters and the clever idea of it, but sometimes the pages didn't grip me and it took me a bit to get thru.

Personally I didn't like it very much. It was very descriptive and I can see why it is popular, however I do not enjoy books with an excessive amount of violence.

I have heard ALOT about this book and cant wait to get my hands on it...one of my girlfriends is reading it right now and she said.."you gotta read this..its a cant put it down book"

The series as a whole, I was disappointed with. I absolutely *LOVED* the first book, The Hunger Games, and would give that one five stars, but I just didn't like where the story went in the other two books. Not that they were bad books, but I didn't care for the story going down the rebel uprising/revolution road. I thought Catching Fire was probably the weakest book in the series, forcing them to continue the fake romance, and the Games in that one seemed like just an attempt to do what the first book had done. Mockingjay was slightly stronger story-wise but still seemed weak in that this revolution couldn't happen without one teenage girl. I'm glad I read the series but I only really liked the first book. (Saw the movie yesterday. LOVED it!)

I read one after the other and loved the series as a whole. There were some parts that were a disappointment, but for the most part the story was well crafted. Another reviewer stated they did not like that the revolution "couldn't happen except for one teenage girl", but in my opinion that is what makes a great story and even in real life sometimes it only takes one person to start a revolution.

Well written and gripping. These books were hard to put down. They are not for those that have a problem with violence and war. The moral of the story for me was; even if you win the war it is a pyrrhic victory.

I was talked into these books by a friend, I thought that the overall subject was going to be too disturbing. I LOVED them, I read all three in about 6 days and I have thought of them often since. They do get much darker as the story goes on, but overall, I thought they were worth the read.

I would give the first book 5 stars for sure - and probably the second one too...the third one isn't quite as good, but still worth reading. Exciting, unique, good characters - it is super hard to put down!

Really liked this book. Not quite as good as the Dragon Tattoo books but very captivating. Can't wait to see how the movie portrays it!

Loved all 3 of them. Quick read.

My 14 year old is currently reading this book and he can't seem to put it down. He's really enjoying it.

I really liked this series. I found that it was a better written series compared to the other popular young adult novels. I loved the characters and I loved everything about the books. I also saw the movie but I found the books much more superior than the movie. I finished this trilogy in a week's time. I just couldn't put it down!

absolutely loved this. I buy all of my books used but bought these all new. still need to see the movie though

I loved this entire series. I've been a fan of the classic distopian novels like "1984" and "Brave New World" since I was 12. It's nice to see someone exploring that genre in modern fiction. I avoided these books for a long time because I associated them with the teen supernatural romances like "Twilight." That was a big mistake. There is an aspect of romance, but it's a piece of the story, not the point of the story. It's certainly darker than a lot of other books out there, but it is appropriate to the target age group. I also applaud this series for giving young girls a lead character who is competent and independent yet realistic.
