Young athletes today might not be elite athletes (yet), but they love to play sports. But today, they might feel like nobodies, with big dreams of being somebodies. POWERADE believes that with the right motivation these everyday athletes can realize their potential and one day be the athletes that they look up to. POWERADE is celebrating this potential in the “Just A Kid” campaign. We want to hear about how you support young athletes and the story behind what helped him or her reach their full potential.

One of my friends used to be morbidly overweight and she decided one day to learn how to run track. 2 years later and she has lost 80 lbs and is running in marathons! I'm extremely proud of her!
My 6 year old used to be so shy before playing sports, now that we got him into sports he's opened to trying new things!
My kids inspire me by trying new sports and enjoying it!
My kids are very enthusiastic about martial arts. Gives them much needed discipline for today's society.
My daughter was in color guard in the band, great fun for her.
I support my kids in their love for basketball, they get motivated and happy and it makes me feel good that they are positive and feel happy about playing and exercising for their heart.
My brother. He was a football player and wrestler his whole life until his injury. He had shoulder surgery and ever since, could no longer wrestle. He was down for a while but decided to do something with his talent and strength and passion and joined the Marines. They turned him down too, due to his shoulder having screws in it. So instead of giving up, he has now joined the Army. He is a huge influence on my own son who wants to play every sport known to man because of him and is also in love with Army guys.
All of my grandchildren are in sports of some kind. Fencing, Basketball, Football, Baseball, and even Bowling. I think it is important to support them in these activities because the sports make them well-rounded. They learn team work, goal-setting, and how hard work pays off.
Great way to make long lasting friends!
I am active in all the sports my kids participate in. I am a coach, a mentor and I bring drinks for all the kids. I LOVE the fact that my kids are involved in sports whether or not they are a great athlete and encourage this by being there for them.
My kids play and love soccer.
My granddaughter. She has more stress than she should at her age.. I was so happy this year when she chose for her sport to become part of the state Olympics youth gymnastics team, and made it to the finals! I am so proud of her. She found her niche! A place to still be a kid, be happy , be herself, exercise, learn proper sportsmanship, and so much more.. She loved not just individually scoring good points, but the team work! Cathy B*****y
My son has adHD and he join wrestling to help him. His grades have improved and he know has tons of friends, before wrestling he didn't have any friends.
