Each year we are introduced to a host of very in-the-moment costumes. Who can forget the Sarah Palin costumes of 2008 or last year’s parade of Orange is the New Black character costumes? 2015 appears to be a good year for topical humor halloween costumes, many of which were born right here on the internet.

If we’re talking about being on trend, we can’t really have a 2015 Halloween without a Donald Trump costume. And apparently, even the Donald can be transformed into a suggestive costume complete with shorty-shorts, a red tie, a tiny jacket, and a pair of complimentary panties for some reason?
If you're a Star Wars fan, the reboot of the movie this year brings renewed interest in the francise. Dress up like Yoda or Dearth Vader, or of course Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia and relive your youth.
At this point in 2015, you’ve probably become well acquainted with the ‘Pizza Rat” video that has gone viral on YouTube. (And if you haven’t, you should probably check it out right away). The video shows a New York subway rat heroically carrying a slice of pizza down some stairs. I know that doesn’t sound very sexy, but in true Halloween trend fashion costume designers have found a way to sex it up with a revealing rat dress featuring pizza pockets.
Mashable reports about ‘the dress’ costume that is making it’s way on Halloween goers this year. For just $46.95 you can start up the old debate at any Halloween party: “It’s white and gold!” Soon followed by a, “NO! IT’S BLUE AND BLACK!” The costume itself is a dress that is half white and gold and half blue and black. But apparently the actual dress is on sale if you want to be even more authentic to the dress debate.

I have to say I am not a fan of any of them none of them look appealing to me . The Leia one would be ok if it was longer like her real outfit ...
I will be Pocahontas......ALL items found a garage sales this year - Total coast 10$!
I agree with those saying too much sexy. I love funny costumes. Pizza rat is pretty funny if it were a real rat costume and....real pizza! hehe. We aren't sure about ours yet but I do think my husband being cat in the hat and my son and I being thing 1 and thing 2 would be pretty great
I'm in love with the Princess Leia costume - the dress and hoodie combo are so adorable (not that she's meant to be). My husband and I are doing our first "couples" costume this year, I'm being little red riding hood and he the big bad wolf in grandma's clothing. It's taken me 32 years to dress in a "sexified" Halloween costume and I'm not sure how I feel about it!
I like the black/gold/blue/white dress idea but the rest are pretty lame. I also agree with someone I hate when they have to make all the costumes "sexy"- like how is a piece of pizza sexy?? My kids are going to be a Ninja Turtle (keeping it traditional) and Elsa from Frozen.
I like the "Donald Trump" costume.
I'm really not all that impressed with any of them...though I have to say the Pizza Rat costume gave me a chuckle.
I love the American Horror Story collection, mainly the maid outfit. I don't have a costume picked as of yet, but I don't want my body to be too revealing. I haven't decided on my son's costume either, though I was thinking about Paddington.
The Star Wars costumes are fabulous. My sweetheart and I are planning to dress as baby pandas. Ok, in our costumes we might look more like adult pandas...but it should be fun!
I don't care for the "sexy" costumes, I think it sends a terrible message to young kids. My 8 yr old is going as Harry Potter. We MAKE his costume every year, the fun is making it together & seeing it come alive.
They're way too sexy! Can I fit them? Yes Do I want to wear them in public? Heck no! I'm going to dress as a Day of the dead bride, an unsexified version
Halloween is not celebrated in our household, my kids are adults, and I don't approve of candy. So people can wear what they choose. Stop judging!!
I don't care for the sexualized costumes for family activities, for an adult party it's fine, go for it. Sets a poor example for the little ones. I love the Star Wars idea and other characters from more family oriented movies, and love the homemade costumes more than "store bought", they are always more creative & unique.
I would have to go with a Star Wars costume. Frankly, I think the rest are ridiculous. They may be creative ideas but why do they need to be sexy? No thank you.
I hate sexy costumes...
