Underwear Ad and Pre-Black Friday Sales To Boost Your Holiday Shopping Mood!

If you haven’t yet begun your holiday shopping and the idea of getting started is overwhelming, you may want to take a break and check out this new Joe Boxer K-Mart commercial. The ad recently went viral with some finding it controversial and others just having a good chuckle. We can see why the ad spot is getting notcied, after all it’s not your typical men posing strategically next to a Christmas tree pondering about life in their cardigan sweaters. Jingle bells indeed.

Now that you’re in the holiday shopping spirit, here are a few reasons why we don’t have to wait for Black Friday to get all the good deals this year. Time reports that many stores will be starting their deals the Friday before Black Friday.

Stores like Sears, Walmart and the Disney Store will begin offering Black Friday prices a week before Thanksgiving and Amazon has a whole host of pre-Black Friday deals going on all week as well. But beware that Black Friday deals aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be. Researchers from Nerd Wallet warn, “Retailers also trick consumers on Black Friday into falling for bad deals with misleading original prices, knockoff deals, and rebates. Shoppers who skip the Black Friday lines, then, might not be missing much. There’s a strong chance they’ll see the same items at the same prices for Black Friday next year.”
