Summer is a great time to travel even if you can’t go far! Sometimes the best places are right under your nose. Take a trip around your hometown pretending to be a tourist. Book a tour, take a class, book a date night and take advantage of the season!
Enjoy the beautiful weather and relax by digging into a great book. Looking for a summer read? You can download one of summer's most anticipated books, Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker, for free, before it hits the shelves.
One night three years ago, the Tanner sisters disappeared: fifteen-year-old Cass and seventeen-year-old Emma. Three years later, Cass returns, without her sister Emma. Her story is one of kidnapping and betrayal, of a mysterious island where the two were held. But to forensic psychiatrist Dr. Abby Winter, something doesn't add up. Looking deep within this dysfunctional family Dr. Winter uncovers a life where boundaries were violated and a narcissistic parent held sway. And where one sister's return might just be the beginning of the crime.
Emma In The Night is a unique, touching and thought-provoking story that will keep you on your toes; you’ll never expect the ending! Get your free download here!
(BookShout.com and the BookShout app are compatible with your smartphone, tablet, desktop computer, and the Kindle Fire HD.)
Summer is all about being outdoors, so put on your favorite swimwear, find a pool, lake or beach near you, and jump in!
Summer nights can be equally as lovely as summer days. Find a nice spot (if you’re in a city you might want to find a location that offers a darker sky), lay out, and gaze away. If you’re interested in all the star names and constellations you can download an app like SkyView or Sky Guide that will tell you exactly what you’re viewing.

Spending time with my boys lazy days by th pool
I plan to spend the rest of the summer playing with the kids in the pool and taking a road trip to visit our families! Also eating homemade ice cream at as many local places we can find!
I will spend two weeks of summer at Lake Shasta enjoying the finally full lake with my family :)
I plan to be a tourist in my own town!
My husband and I planted a lot of flowers which are now in full bloom. I will spend my summer floating around the pool admiring all of nature's bounty with great music playing and a cold adult beverage in hand. I am not living a life of leisure ... I do work full time so it all of this will take place evenings and weekends - lol !!!!
Unfortunately I'm spending most of the summer working :( I am taking a week off at the end of August for a relaxing staycation with the family. Looking forward to relaxing by the pool!
Work, work, work, work, work (Rhianna voice) there will be some summer fun though, I have a family cruise coming up.
Sitting on my hammock, enjoying the sun at the pool, reading, exploring etc...
I'm working on staying more active. So every morning I go to the river and go jogging on the trail with my sisters.
Basically just spending on the beach
Same thing I've been doing all year. Working. :(
Reading, relaxing, and enjoying it!
Road trips....lots of road trips!
I have a season pass for the local waterpark, so on these hot sunny days of July and August, I will be swimming and sunning there (with lots of SPF lotion, of course).
I may be having surgery so I will have lots of time to read!
