Kalua Pulled Pork with Teriyaki Sauce

Makes: 8 servings

Description: This is a three-ingredient smoked pork shoulder made in the crock pot that can be used in several ways: taco's, salads, pulled pork sandwiches, and our favorite with homemade teriyaki sauce (recipe to follow) with steamed rice and veggie spirals - super quick and easy.

Ingredients:
4-5 Lb  Pork Shoulder roast (can use larger and double)
1 T.  Liquid Smoke
1 T.  Himalayau Pink Salt
1/4 c.  Soy sauce or Coconut Aminos (for gluten-free)
1 -1/4 c.  water
1/2 tsp.  ginger
1/4 tsp.  garlic powder
5 T.  brown sugar
2 T.  cornstarch

Instructions: Throw pork shoulder roast, liquid smoke, and Himalayan Pink Salt in the crock pot and let is cook on low for 6-8 hours, take it out and shred for whatever you would like. This can be seasoned once it is out of the crock pot with any type of sauce and will taste great. Our favorite is with homemade teriyaki:

Mix soy sauce or Coconut Aminos (for gluten free), 1 cup of water, ginger, garlic powder, and brown sugar together in sauce pan. Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water together and add to thicken. Super Easy!!
