I really wanted this product to work. I love Aveda products. But I guess for my hair type it wasn't the best. The smell, texture and ease of use was fabulous. The product didn't do anything for keeping my hair straight not even for a day. Unfortunately I will not purchase this product.

I simply didn't care for the fragrance. I also felt that my extremely fine hair was weighed down somewhat by the product. My hair may have been shiny and the waves were not as noticeable as before I used the product but the fragrance was lingering and I wouldn't want to use it on a daily basis. It wasn't a bad product, it simply wasn't for me.

I have very thin hair and the Aveda Naturally Straight weighed my hair down and made it look heavy, greasy and not shinny. It did however eliminate the frizz aspect. Did not cut down on any tools or styling time. This product is all over the place. My daughter has thick hair and it did work better on her hair as far as frizz and not making her hair so heavy and weighed down looking. It appears that this product may be a great find for certain hair types and styles only but not recommended for most.

I got my sample of Aveda Naturally straight and tried it, but to me, my hair looks the same as before I tried it. It also made it a little greasier looking than usual. I liked that it was easy to use and I liked the smell, but it didn't do much for me. It made my hair more flat than straight. I was hoping for more bounce.

This product is just not for my hair type. I have fine LONG wavy hair that gets frizzy and weird without the use of hot tools. I found that it seemed to weigh down my hair and take away any volume - which is barely there anyway! This did not replace my regular hot tools, unfortunately, but I haven't given up. I will keep using this product and hope that it works for me with continued use and with consistency.

This was not the results that I expected. It smells good and left my hair soft and a little more manageable without the frizz that I get from this humitity in Florida but still took ample time and a straight iron to acheive the look I was wishing to get. And for the price I think I will go back to my old way.

I didn't mind the product, but I certainly didn't get the results I was expecting. If I were to air dry, my hair would have a slight wave (not pretty!) and some frizz. Because of that, I typically blow dry, then straighten with a flat iron. With washing my hair every three days (give or take), I was happy to see that it didn't leave my hair looking greasier. However, my hair did seem more prone to creasing. I usually tie my hair up on the off wash days, and found the humidity and some water in the shower alone was enough to leave my hair frizzy, kinked, and in need of more ironing... For me, it didn't eliminate the need to straighten with heat daily at all.

While I appreciated that Aveda Naturally straight mellowed my waves into a pretty spiral, I didn't feel like it did anything to actually straighten my hair. If I used a paddle brush and the product while blow drying on high, my hair would end up straight, but frizzy. So then I had to use hot tools, which I thought the point was to reduce damage by not needing to do everything I already do when I want straight hair. I do have extremely thick shoulder length hair, so perhaps that plays into my result. I am still using it in lieu of other styling creams as it smells great and is light and makes my curls look nice. I just don't think it added anything to a straight hairstyle for me, and it certainly didn't hold a straight haired style into the next shampoo, let alone three shampoos.

I like that the product is lightweight and smells nice, but as far as performance it does not work with my thick wavy hair. It did little to combat frizz and I do not believe it cut any time from my blow drying routine.

For me, this product did not straighten my hair. I used it both air drying and blow drying, but I don't have or use a flat iron. When I blow dried my hair, I had better results, but my curls/waves still were in charge .. I never had straight hair. What this product did for me was relax the curls and help fight frizz. We had some REALLY humid days during the time I used it, and it definitely helped control the frizz. What I didn't particularly like is how it made my hair feel coated and weighed down. It was nice to have a more-relaxed look, though, and I enjoyed the product's texture/consistency. I would recommend it only as a curl/wave relaxer .. maybe if I owned/used a flat iron, it may have proven more effective?

I had really high expectations for this product, and I was disappointed in its performance. Maybe I misunderstood what the product was promising. It was my assumption that this product would gently relax my curly hair and would keep it straight if I continued to use it, even over multiple washes. The first time I used this product, I was impressed with the clean, fresh scent and lightweight formula. I used it and then blow dried and straightened my hair with a flat iron. I have to say that I think the dry time was decreased, as well as the time it took to flat iron my hair. However, I don't usually straighten my curly hair and try to keep away from heat damage when possible. On the following days, I used this product without straightening my hair. I just let it air dry naturally. On those occasions, I noticed absolutely no difference in the amount of curl in my hair. This product simply didn't relax my hair as expected. In conclusion, I will continue to use the sample of this product, but I will not purchase it in the future.

I like the way this product smells, but for me, that's about it. I'm not very impressed. That shocked me, because I love Aveda. This product left my hair flat and sticky. I usually have moderately greasy have after just 1 day of washing my hair. This product left my hair majorly greasy within 24 hours. This product could work with people that have dryer hair types, but definitely not for me. I also didn't notice any difference in the straightness, or frizz towards the bottom of my hair. However, I did notice a little less frizz towards my roots.

The product works well for the first day. It does not keep hair straight for 3 days. I don't like that you have to apply in sections, I would rather apply it overall and then style. I also noticed that the aroma when applying was OK, however after hair is dried and then you go our into the sun, or if the head sweats, hair smells awful. I felt I still needed to use a styling tool after it was dried.

did nothing for my wavy hair. was very sticky and tended to oil up my hair quick. was hoping this would be a easy step to help cut it down my style time. didn't happen.

This product did not work for me. I have wavy, frizzy hair and it did not really do anything to tame it. It made my hair feel heavy and I didn't notice any smell from the product. It did add a little but of a shine To my hair but not enough for me to want to purchase the product. I still had to use a Hair dryer and straightening iron to achieve my usual look.
