I never read the book, but I thought the movie was very good. I really don't watch movies like this one but I fell in love with it.

Just another bad movie, I can see where they were trying to go with it but it just fell short. The movie needed better actors & quite frankly I felt like to much was being left out & I never even read the book. I'd grade it about a D+

I hated both the movie and the books. Whatever happened to the good and scary vampires who have fangs and actually burn in the sunlight?

Books are always better than the movie. I did like the fact that they stayed pretty true to the book as far as the story goes. However I think the acting job was mediocre and the special effects were lacking! But all in all I wasn't really disappointed. I just hope in the next movie when they're scaling a mountain it doesn't look as though they are riding a fast moving escalator!

I loved the books. Although I dont think the movie was perfect I liked it, I think the actors did great. They were sapposed to be ackward Bella is a awkward teenager and Edward is a Vampire that is fighting himself not to eat her up so yeah the charecters had to look exactly the way they acted, if it flowed smoothly it wouldnt have been believeable.

Wasn't as good as the book, though book-to-movies rarely are. Twilight left out a lot of good parts, I was kinda disappointed.

I love everything about the books and the movie. I can not wait for New Moon to come out and I hope that the author will find her passion again and release the 5th book!!! Can't get enough of Edward and Bella!!!

I totally agree with dancelov88. I REALLY enjoyed the book and was a bit disappointed in the movie adaptation. BUT if I hadn't read the book I probably would have loved the movie.

The book was definitely better because of the time constraints in the movie. I liked the movie a lot though and am looking forward to "New Moon". For those who haven't read the book or seen the movie, see the movie first. If you do it the other way around (book then movie) you will be disappointed.

There are alot more details in the book so seeing the movie could disappoint some fans. But if you rate the movie seperately...you will really enjoy it. I think the combination of the love story, a bit of suspense/action, and the gorgeous vampires makes for good entertainment. And judging by the huge number of loyal fans I'd say the next movies will be hits too.

I LOVE the Twilight Books. The movie, on the other hand, was a ridiculous joke compared to the books! It honestly was some of the worst acting I have ever seen. Very very disappointing. I got every book and pretty much read them each straight through when I got them, staying up all night just to read more. I went to the movie in theaters, and SLEPT through 80% of it because it was so terrible! I sure hope New Moon is better...
