Sometimes things happen, and make you into someone you do not even recognize.

I've had numerous health problems and surgeries. At one point I was in a wheelchair and on so many medications. I was determined to wean myself off everything and gain my strength back. I have been out of a wheelchair for 10 years now

For many years I have been plagued by nearly crippling social anxiety. Going out has required days of coaching myself, and then requires days of recovery. I am determined to get better. Now I force myself to go out into the world at least once a week. I often play music that I like on my headphones when I am out, to distract me from my anxiety. The dread is not quite as bad now. I also find that I am more willing to do something for someone else than to just be going out for myself, so, for example, it is easier to make myself go out to do errands for my aunt.

Still think the one I'm in - will be something I'm proud of - once I figure it out and come to the 'other side'

I was hopelessly addicted to drugs and homeless for quite some time. The only ways out were choosing death, or choosing life. I recovered a strength inside myself I never knew. 9years!!
