I have been working very hard to be more self-aware, more self-reflective, and less reactive to triggering situations. Yesterday as I was preparing to leave to do some errands, a message arrived from my attorney about my active divorce petition. A few weeks ago, this conversation would have left me in a sea of anxiety for the rest of the day. This time, I felt it in the moment and somehow managed to let it wash over me. I am not in denial about it, but I am getting better at controlling the controllables and not letting the rest send me into a doom spiral.
