Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 girls have missed school because they can’t afford period protection? It’s not just school they miss. It also means missing out on activities they love, like sports practices, drama club, or student council.
At puberty, girls’ confidence plummets, and having to miss activities because of lack of access to period products only makes this drop in confidence worse. Missing out can limit a girl’s potential and opportunities far beyond puberty.
We’re so excited to support Always & Walmart's Live #LikeAGirl campaign to spread the word about this important issue as they work to #EndPeriodPoverty. Always and Walmart are donating a year’s supply of period products to 50 teams in 50 states, so girls in need don’t have to miss out on the activities they love because they don’t have access to period protection.

I had no idea the magnitude of this. I'm so glad that always is giving back. I can't imagine the shame these women/girls feel for something they cannot control.

So very sad I had no idea of this issue. While I am not really a huge fan of Walmart I will definitely but Always pads there because of this
What a wonderful way to help girls in need. We all take so many things for granted, that we forget about all the people that need help and support.
Great video!
Shocking news but nice move from Wal-Mart and always.
