Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 girls have missed school because they can’t afford period protection? It’s not just school they miss. It also means missing out on activities they love, like sports practices, drama club, or student council.
At puberty, girls’ confidence plummets, and having to miss activities because of lack of access to period products only makes this drop in confidence worse. Missing out can limit a girl’s potential and opportunities far beyond puberty.
We’re so excited to support Always & Walmart's Live #LikeAGirl campaign to spread the word about this important issue as they work to #EndPeriodPoverty. Always and Walmart are donating a year’s supply of period products to 50 teams in 50 states, so girls in need don’t have to miss out on the activities they love because they don’t have access to period protection.

Never knew, very informative
WOW! This is an area I had never even thought of in regards to poverty. As a teacher, I would like to start a program to make supplies readily available to my high school and middle school students. #LikeAGirl
Thank you

Thank you for sharing.
I was saddened when the young girl said she rolled toilet paper to use as a pad. These girls should not have to go through this.
I never know all that
Wow that would be hard for the girls and so glad that Walmart is able to help them.
This issue needs to be brought forward and I'm very proud of Always for bringing this campaign to light. Not every young lady has the ability to afford the essentials that most Americans take for granted.
This is amazing!! We were not well off when I was in high school and I never thought about my mom buying my pads they're not super expensive but I was homeless and had no money and had to use toilet paper sometimes shoot in life I don't have period needs when I start I couldn't imagine being a teenager and my family not being able to contribute to my period needs but I know the struggle is real out here please support and Also any homeless period advocates as well!!!
This was an eye opener. The things we take for granted. I will be sharing this campaign and information wtih others.
What a sad reality for young women. Always gets big props for addressing this issue.

I know firsthand what this is like. I'm glad that this is being brought up the public's attention
