Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 girls have missed school because they can’t afford period protection? It’s not just school they miss. It also means missing out on activities they love, like sports practices, drama club, or student council.
At puberty, girls’ confidence plummets, and having to miss activities because of lack of access to period products only makes this drop in confidence worse. Missing out can limit a girl’s potential and opportunities far beyond puberty.
We’re so excited to support Always & Walmart's Live #LikeAGirl campaign to spread the word about this important issue as they work to #EndPeriodPoverty. Always and Walmart are donating a year’s supply of period products to 50 teams in 50 states, so girls in need don’t have to miss out on the activities they love because they don’t have access to period protection.

Unbelievable
Thank you Always for helping those less fortunate.
I was sorry to read about this issue # to end period poverty but thankfully Walmart stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park once again by helping those less fortunate.
Wonderful ❤❤❤
Makes me more appreciative of Walmart & Always by giving back to a great need.
All I can say I did not realize this and this video sure brought tears to my eyes!
Great idea
This is a very educational. Awesome campaign!
There should also be no tax on feminine hygiene products like tampons and pads. Many states such as New York are fighting to pass a law for that. They also are making these items available to girls in their schools.
Didn't know this. Thanks for the awareness.
I had no idea, thank you for educating me. I t has been an eye opener for sure. I personally never experience this situation of not having enough money for personal hygiene products. And never gave it a thought that there were others that could not afford them.
Girl Power on the rise!!
This is a much needed cause.Way to go Walmart & Always!
This is so important. We keep ignoring the poverty in the US and there are many Americans living in poverty and 25% of them are in extreme poverty, where they have no running clean water or sewage treatment/disposal. Our government likes to think our economy is good, but it is not if we have any poverty at all in this country. If we raised the tax of the top 1% by 1% we could pay all those earning less than $24,000 (poverty level for family of 4) enough to bring their incomes up to $24,000, and wipe out poverty right off. Stop putting conditions on aid by requiring account of "worthiness." By giving the wealthy a tax cut instead of a tax deduction, we are not holding them accountable for their welfare benefit. If Congress wants to cut "entitlements," start with that tax cut they gave to the top 1%, which was the only tax cut that was set as permanent. Didn't they make that an "entitlement"?
