"Anything that gets my family out in the woods is one of our top choices for spring travel.  Camping, hiking, kayaking, and paddle-boarding in the North Georgia mountains are all great ways to get back to nature and spend quality time with teens. Since there is poor cell reception in the woods, we generally get to connect with them a lot easier than we do at home where they are attached at the hip to their cell phones!" - Diane Hoffmaster, Turning the Clock Back

"A classic vacation that will please both adults and children this spring break is Niagara Falls.  The Canadian side does require a passport for those traveling from the U.S.  It boasts amazing falls' views, a wide variety of very reasonable hotels, and proximity to all the amazing Niagara Falls experiences.  Off season is a great time to visit to score great hotel rates and experience the wonder of the falls without the crowds!" - Lindsey Wetzel Johnston, Crumbs in the Couch

 
Beach
"Why we love St. Simon's Island: It’s a community, not just a vacation destination. We love to ride bikes on the hard packed sand beach, play corn hole while waiting for our chicken swiss at Brogens, enjoy the best fried shrimp anywhere at Crab Trap, and hang out on the St. Simon’s Island Pier crabbing or seeing what the fisherman bring in. My mom passed. Making something good come of it by traveling to reconnect family. Doing the weekend trips state to state. Then do something solely unique to me, but will know at that point.

My itty bitty niece, Maia, is turning one on April 30th. To celebrate, we're taking her to a tiny treehouse vacation in Seguin, TX. It's a beautiful place, sleeps 6 people, but it'll only be the five of us, including baby Maia. We're really looking forward to it!

I just took a road trip by myself to Savannah, Georgia from Ohio. It was my first time there and I loved it. The combination of beautiful weather, proximity to the water, many squares to walk around or hang out in, and the blend of the old (history) and new make Savannah the perfect place to visit in the spring.
