I am organizing each of the rooms one by one. Going through clothes and children's toys, cabinets in the kitchen, etc. and donating the items we do not need anymore. Then, dusting and mopping to get all the surfaces cleaned.

I gradually put the holiday decorations away. I have 2 Rubbermaid containers of decorations so those usually get put away first, and then the tree/ornaments (since the tree is fake). As I put things away, I dust and after the whole job is done, I vacuum/Swiffer all the rooms. Then I sit back and relax and enjoy my simplified house!

I put away all my decorations and clean my place entirely. It always takes longer than expected~but it has got to be done.I love Christmas~but never realize~at the time~that my home is completely transformed for the holidays. But when everything is tidied up~I enjoy lighting some candles~having a hot cup of coffee&just looking around at my surroundings~thinking how much I'm grateful for all I have!! LIFE IS GOOD!!

I have health issues, so I just take my holiday things down as I feel like it. I do not feel pressure and I can deep clean and I remove the remnants of the holidays in my own good time.

After enjoying the holidays, the first week of January I'm ready to take down my decorations and that gets me started with my after holiday cleaning and home reorganizing.

I'm re-organizing the house by giving away & throwing away items we're not using anymore and using lots of containers & bins to store things we use frequently that did not already have a specific place to go.

Actually, it's all going to begin soon! We are planning on painting the whole interior of our house this Spring, so EVERYTHING is going to be cleaned - bookcases pulled away from walls, dressers and hutches - yikes, I think I am going to run away!
