For long distance aunties, showing support for nieces and nephews isn’t always easy. After all, you can’t send a hug or kiss through a telephone call or email.
But there are things aunts can do to share their feelings from far away. Here are some of our favorite ways to show you care.
What kid doesn’t love getting mail? Hallmark has created a special collection just for kids, so aunties can send encouragement and love via snail mail. Plus, they are offering the first card free through May 30!
If you have a niece or nephew in college, what better way to show support than to send them a care package to get through finals? Send snacks, study tools and more with one of the prepackaged assortments from HipKits.com. They even have a healthier option so you can make sure they aren’t eating too much junk food!
Can’t be there for a birthday? Wish them well with a sweet snack...like cupcakes! New York favorite Crumbs Bake Shop delivers their treats nationwide.
Sometimes aunties want to ship out a gift "just because." MyGiftBasketIdeas.com has great character-themed packages that include toys and games.
No matter what you send, we’re sure that they’ll know just how much their auntie loves them!
Love the hipkits! What a great idea!
great links! Thanks. I loved sending those packages when the kids were in college. Now I have nephews and I can continue!!!
what a great idea!
My daughter just graduated from college and she saved all the packaging I sent surprise treats to her in; why?... because I always decorated the boxes with lots of stickers that related to her special interests (cats, horses, music, softball, etc.).
I have two children in Germay and one in Iraq.. Looking for Ideals to send to them. Any one have any. I am running out of ideals?
great idea but i have no one to send me any treats
Good information! I will use some of these ideas because I have a daughter in college.
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing!
