Olive Garden Alfredo Copycat Recipe

Makes: 8 servings

Description: Tastes just like Olive Garden's Fettuccine Alfredo recipe.

16 oz.  Fettuccine Noodles
1 stick  butter
2 tbsp.  olive oil
5 cloves  garlic (minced)
4 cups  heavy cream
1/4 tsp.  black pepper
1.5 cups  parmesan cheese (shredded)
1 3/4 cups  mozzerella cheese (shredded)

Instructions: Put the 2 tbsp. of olive oil into your skillet and preheat it on medium-high heat.
Once hot, add the whole stick of butter.
Add the garlic, cream, and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes.
*I used already minced garlic in the jar, I only had about 3 cups of cream, and I didn't measure the pepper and it still turned out good. So don't be afraid to deviate from the recipe a little.*

Add the parmesan cheese and cook the sauce on medium heat for about 12 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and is smooth. Make sure you keep whisking it every few minutes.
Add the mozzarella cheese and stir until smooth.

While the sauce is cooking, boil your noodles so they are ready at the same time the alfredo sauce is.

Just a suggestion: Pre-measure everything out and have it ready in prep bowls so all you have to do is add the ingredient as you need it. I didn't use to do this, but I've been doing it for every recipe lately and it makes cooking a lot more fun and less stressful.

While you could probably used pre-shredded cheeses for this, I would recommend using block cheeses and shredding it yourself. Don't have a shredder? You can buy my favorite kind here. - See more at: http://www.mannersandmayhem.com/2015/01/tastes-just-like-olive-garden-alfredo.html#sthash.RBuHDKCq.dpuf
