I did not like this product. It made my hair stiff and I had a hard time rinsing it out.

I was not impressed with L'Oreal Mousse Absolu. I have thick curly hair that's a little below shoulder length and I barely had enough product to do a full application let alone have leftover for touch ups. There was very noticeable alcohol smell because of the mousse can. Also I found it very time consuming and messy. Time consuming because I had to shake vigorously before spraying each time and then still had to massage it in. Messy because when I applied it to the back of my head a foam ball fell on my bathroom rug and I had to wash it afterward. Finally, I'm not sure how good this would be as a root touch up because it does not offer precision application like a traditional home color which can be applied with a brush. The only good thing was the color results were nice, but I think I'll stick with the traditional home hair colors.

I received this from SheSpeaks. I am not sure how I feel about it. I'm not used to a mouse type hair dye so I had a hard time getting it all through my hair. I'm not sure how well it covered my grays - they seem to be very stubborn! I did really like that it was reusable - there was enough for me to do a root touch up.

I wanted to fall deeply in love with this product. And I did like it. But I could only give it 3 stars. So I'll go on a second date with it. Love is questionable. The good news: this new pump bottle mousse allows you to dispense enough color for one root-touch up (my situation) or an overall color. Then, unlike any hair color product I am familiar with, you can put the cap back on and save the rest for another coloring (4-6 weeks). Here was my problem, wow it was drippy. I usually use Revlon Colorsilk and it's a thin consistency, but I have no problems with dripping. I usually do a bunch of work and not a drop gets on my forehead. The good news: 30 minutes covered my gray and my hair looked very shiny and healthy after I washed and dried it. But for the price (I think it was around $13), I'm not sure I will repurchase once I have used the remaining portion for another root touch up. Perhaps I did something wrong, but essentially the mousse melted. The color skewed a bit warm (red). But they are clear about that when you look at the side of each box and they show examples of the finished color. They all looked warmer rather than cooler in the brown range.

The theory behind this pump-as-you-go product is great. I have short hair, so even a root touchup product is too much for my entire head, and getting to save some coloring product for later is pretty much the first of its kind! Love that!! My didn't loves: the reality is that keeping the product is messy, regardless of how careful you are. I managed through the bottle by keeping it stored in a gallon ziplock, but by the bitter end the bottle was positively oozing and all over the place. The color I chose was much darker than the packaging indicated, as well. All in all, I'll continue to buy this because for the money, you can't beat getting to use it all. Next time I'll just choose a shade lighter than what my actual hair color is...and have plenty of bathroom wipes at the ready to clean up each time afterwards.

I liked that this product did not have a lingering chemical scent. I also liked that there were 2 applications in the package, so I have some product left for next time. Although the mousse consistency was thinner than I expected, it was fairly easy to apply. I was pleased with the color initially but it has been just under 3 weeks now and I see my greys are starting to show through- not at the roots but the parts I thought had been colored very well. I'm willing to give it another try to see if it lasts longer next time.

This was easy to use. I love the fact I can save the unused portion. I used to waste so much hair color when doing a root touch up, this solves that problem. Beautiful coverage and natural color.

As someone who has never used hair coloring before I'd have to say this was so easy and exceeded my expectations on its simplicity. No messes or weird smells but because I have red hair I don't feel that it covered or enhanced my natural color very well. Also that little bottle of conditioner is so bad. It left my hair feeling super greasy and I couldn't wait to wash it out. Other than that, I think it's a great product, especially if you are someone who regularly likes to color your hair, the fact that it's for more than one use is totally awesome.

SO easy to use and I love that it can be saved for re-use! No mess at all!

I have used other mouse products before, but this one was slightly better in quality. I did a light blonde and was happy with the root coverage. The only thing I had an issue with was trying to keep the bottle upright. It's a quality product with good results. I used itball but would be open to storing in the future.

Very good product! It was so easy and un-messy to apply. It gave great coverage and the color turned out well and is still holding it's own. I would buy this again. Thanks for the opportunity to try it!

I thought this was a nice product, the smell was a little stronger than I expected. Nice coverage, nice color would buy again

Nice product. I love that it can be re-used since I have short hair. A bit pricy but since I can use it more than once it's worth it to me.

I admit the color I initially chose was not for my hair and should have chose something that would lighten it. I have locs, my natural hair is dark brown, I had Auburn and I still saw a difference. I liked the ease of the product. I do think you need to pay attention to the color guide on the boxes to make sure that you purchase one that will satisfy you....

i haven only done the first application. Really like it, and the fact you can do it again in a few weeks. That is what I plan to do on 8-1. Smelled good too. Only thing I didn't like, was the gloves were just too thin. Ripped when I put them on.
