I'm always trying to find new recipes with my own spin. Did you try something new or revamp an old favorite, what made you feel festive this year.

Cooking is such a big part of the holiday! I love making cookies and traditional meals with my kids. It makes it feel like the holiday! We tend to stick to the tried and true family holiday recipes. Its nice to pass it down!

I'm making individual shepherds pies in ramekins. Sooo turkey and ham'd out! Ground Beef Can of Campbells condensed vegetable soup Half a package of frozen mixed veggies Random spices to taste Cover with home made garlic mashed potatoes Bake for 30 - 45 mins! The best part is that you can pretty much make the beef/veggie mixture in advance and heat it up before you put the taters on top!

I always bake for festive season. My recipes range from cookies to pies to meatloafs. My coworkers love to receive my chocolate cookies, rum cake, carrot cake and cheesecake. I plan to make apple pie tonight for Christmas Eve dinner. My 2 cents is soak the apple slices in salt water to prevent rusting and pad them dry to avoid soaking the pie crust. I love to sprinkle a bit of sugar and butter on top of the pie at the last 1-2 minutes to make it burnt a bit.

easy appetizer to make in advance is cheese olives: 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup butter melted and 1 1/4 cup flour. Mix altogether and mold around green olives then freeze. Bake at 400 right from the freezer until sizzling. Mmmm good and so easy.

I love to cook and bake. I made good no bake cookies for neighbors and friends. The cookies are so easy to make. I always try to make different meals or desserts. When I make a meal like hamburgers, I always add my own spices to it.

I love to make yummy desserts and cookies for all my relatives and friends. There great ways to spread holiday cheer and show everyone just how much you care about them-not to mention its a great way to save in this economy! My favorite recipes this season are bishop breads, russian tea cookies, and peanut butter balls! There all so decadent, delicious, and a great way to bring a smile to everyone's faces!

Cookies and candies are something I make every year and give out to family members at our family gatherings. This year I made buckeyes, puppy chow, chocolate fudge, and chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies. I love the buckeyes, they are always a hit with everyone...

We did make a new recipe this year. You take cake and make it then crumble it up and mix with frosting and dip in chocolate. It is like a truffle and is very good.

I make caramel corn from a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe for my family. Each family member looks forward to her own tin of my treats. It is not your typical Cracker Jack corn but is made with real butter and has a thin, crackly crunch that is addictive. This has been my Christmas tradition for about thirty years.
