I'm always trying to find new recipes with my own spin. Did you try something new or revamp an old favorite, what made you feel festive this year.

I love to bake doing the holidays. I have a very old sugar cookie recipe with icing that is always the first to go. We also like water crestnuts wrapped in bacon bake with a ketchup, brown sugar mixer. A real crowd pleaser.

Anise Pizzelles are what I make each year that are highly anticipated by many people. I also make homemade chocolate covered cherries and loads of cookies for the holidays.

Two of my friends found out they are diabetic this past year, so I decided to try Splenda for baking and made some chocolate rolled cookies. They had great flavor and the dough was easy to work with. To top it off my friends received home made cookies!!!

My favorite holiday recpie is when my mom makes home made chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles. It is perfect because i live in a state that snows alot and it keeps me warm throughout the holidays. :)

For over 30 yrs I have been making a Christmas morning coffee cake. It was my mother in laws recipe and my whole family looks forward to having it with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee in the morning.

I made cranberry and pistachio biscotti this year. It was an easy recipe and a great homemade gift. It added a nice festive fragrance to the house as well.
