I think that Urban Decay Primer Potion is good, but it drys up real quick...and sometimes makes my shadow look powdery. I also like E.L.F. primer and it's much cheaper only $1!

ELF's eye primer is good if you are on a budget. But Laura Geller's waterproof eye spackle is amazing and one tube lasts forever. Seriously I have one that is at least a year old it hasn't died on me yet and I use it almost every day.

I actually use the MAC paint pot in "Painterly" as my eye primer. I have pretty oily eyelids, and this is the best one I've tried (I've also tried the Urban Decay Primer Potion, the NYX one, and the ELF one)! This one makes my eyeshadow last the longest without creasing. And best of all, it provides some coverage to my eyelid area, since I tend to get kind of red there.

I love any of Urban Decay's eye primers but they are expensive. TheBalm also has a really nice eye primer. If your on a budget I'd go for the ELF eye primer, it's only a $1 and works well enough.

I tried the E.L.F. primer and unfortunately my shadow still creased. But my shadow has NEVER creased with the Urban Decay primer. So UD gets my vote everytime.

e.l.f.'s $1 eye primer is good if you are on a budget. Laura Geller's Waterproof eye spackle is my fave. And you get a lot for your money! I think I have had the same one for about a year and it is still going strong!

Well, I see a few folks recommending ELF.. I personally have never treid their primer.. I heard odd things about it. If you're JUST looking to prime and moisturize the lids with something that is friendly enough to do so and hold mild o rminimal amounts of shadows, I'd recommend a primer potion. Urban Decay has one and Too Faced has one as well. From a budget standpoint, ELF is a primer potion. If you plan on doing some really intense looks, packing a lot of shadows and colors AND getting more from your colors (making them pop and increasing vibrancy) I'd recommend a base. Hands down, MAC has the best bases I've ever encountered. They come in all colors too. I personally use Soft Ochre which is a very cool, yellow toned and doed wonders for me. The one that usually fits and suit everyone is Painterly. Again, from a budget standpoint, Maybelline has a perfecting base. Hope this helped!! http://www.youtube.com/thePLAINESTjane
