Hello Ladies, I need some help or advice on some good lip balm, chap stick and some really good lotion or body cream. I recently moved to Albuquerque, NM. And boy oh boy... this weather is terrible on my skin! I've never had such dry skin in my life. I have been trying so many different products but nothing seems to be helping me. Any advice or know of any good non greasy products that I can use? Any tip's would be helpful :o) Thank you!

I completely agree about the Aquaphor! It is great for chapped lips, cracked ankles and elbows, diaper rash. Also and this smells awful but is works is bag balm. It was created by farmers for cow utters. It comes in a green tin and can me found in walmart or places like tractor supply.

I absolutely love Aveeno's body lotion. I have sensitive skin which can easily change between dry and oily. Aveeno is perfect for this, especially that they try to be as natural as they can. Wonderful!

Well, recently I've discovered some fantastic products, one on accident and one because I loved the products. One of my new favorite products for chapped lip goes to Burt's Bees Medicated Lip Balm with Clove Oil and Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm, they moisturize almost instantaneously and last a long time without having to reapply much, granted I do, because I love to keep my lips looking smooth. If your lips are extremely chapped then you'll need to "recondition them", first thing you'll want to do is exfoliate your lips, rid your lips of the peeling, dry, chapped skin, then apply some good old fashioned petroleum jelly! Do that for a couple of days and your lips should be rejuvenated and then you can resume using the other products mentioned. If you have chapped lips, I'd definitely stay away from the "flavored and tinted lip balms" I find that they don't really work for chapped lips, its more for a look... Just a thought. Good luck!

The absolute BEST product that I have found for extremely dry/chapped/cracking skin is by AVON, Moisture Therapy Intensive, the lotion or cream. It is great for people like me who have to wash their hands all day long. The moisture stays in your skin for at least 4-5 washes before you have to reapply. Before I found this product, every winter my hands would get so dry that they would crack and even bleed. I have not had this problem since I started using this!

To be honest, I was recently on some medication for acne issues and it dried my skin out horribly... I tried EVERYTHING and the only things I found that made any difference at all were Vaseline for my lips (yuck I know... used only at night with straight up chapstick during the day)... and baby oil immediately following a shower (while still damp). Hope this helps!

^ Agree with that!! I use sugar too, but I mix it in a lil dab of vasoline, for me its a better lip feel than oil, rub and then tissue off, but make it your own, try all kinds of oils, my mom likes to use coconut oil for her elbows and knees, she doesn't warm it, uses it hard right from jar, like a salve/balm :D Stay Moist, my friend!!

I love Carmex! It is my current favorite! But I also really like Burt's Bees. It is also wonderful, and I would use it anytime in place of Carmex if I couldn't find it. I will say this though: Carmex is kind of like Vaseline, whereas Burts Bees is much smoother and doesn't make your lips feel greasy.

The best thing I have ever found for lips and hands is the satin hands and satin lips from Mary Kay. I sold it a long time ago and still go back to it. Best thing ever, pricey yes, but worth it. I haven't been able to go back to anything else.
