At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:
The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou
Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie
She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa
When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan
Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all. - Carol

My mom will ALWAYS be my number one. She is so kind and generous to all who have known her.
My mother. She went back to school while raising two children, got her degree, her law degree, passed the bar and opened her own business. She has always adapted and changed as she's needed to over time.
My daughter inspires me to be a great role model for her.
Women that have inspired me are my mother, her sister- my aunt, both grandmothers, and my cousin I lost too soon to breast cancer.
My daughters inspire me to better. Women that lift up other women inspire me to do same.
My Mom. She has been the one woman I could always confide in and who is always there for me. She's been through a lot in her life and keeps on going.
My mom definitely. She has had to fight and overcome so much and is still standing tall today. She never gives up and is willing to help out and do things for others. I have watched her go through so much and it inspires me to never give up and to keep fighting.
My mom because she is the strongest person I know
My mom and 4th grade teacher inspired me. My mom raised by brother and I alone on a small income. She worked hard, raised us right, and I strive to be like her! She is caring but tough! My 4th grade teacher gave me the love of creativity and thinking outside the box!
My grandma was big in my life as a kid. She taught me how to make cookies
My mom has been my inspiration to continue through even in the toughest times.
My mom is the women that inspires me. She has taught me to work hard for everything that I want and to never give up.
My Grandma, My grandma passed away 6 years now but she still is a part of my everywhere I go and an influence on my everyday. She was the epitome of strength and kindness. I strive to be even half the women she was. She was full of love, sometimes tough love that we needed. She is still my favorite human I have every known and miss her everyday. I feel I am the woman that I am today, because of her. -Courtney
My mom has inspired me to pursue my dreams.
