We loved ours for our first son, we are not expecting again and we will use it again. I know the reviews are iffy on some sites..but you are a parent..you are supposed to watch your children.

Bought one soon after they came out a few years ago based on parenting magazine reviews. Worked great once my son was able to sit upright at about a year old. He preferred to be upright than lying back in a bouncy or swing. I would put him in the Bumbo and move him around the house with me so he was safe, and I could see him while I showered, dressed, cooked dinner, etc. Great item but he grew out of it quickly (or so it seemed).

Great product! I used it for both of my kids but it is overpriced!

my girls loved sitting in these. These seats are great as well and lightweight alternative for booster seats or high chairs.

I hate that these have gotten bad reviews over safety, when it is really the parents who are not doing their job. This seat is to assist babies to learn to sit up on their own...not to be used as a babysitter for your young infant! Of course babies fall when they aren't being watched and cannot support themselves yet! I loved this seat and so did my son. We used it as his feeding seat when we did not have the space for a full highchair. I just sat him in it on the ground and sat right in front of him. We waited to use it until he seemed ready and was trying to sit up on his own. we never left him unattended, so we never had any accidents. It specifically says not to leave your child unattended in this seat. Please do not be scared away by horror stories of this product, it is a great product.

We used this with the tray to feed my son in when he was around 5 months old (Before he got too big.) He loved it and seemed very comfortable in it. Yes you most certainly use it on the floor to prevent falls. As for judgemental comments about leaving babies unattended, you shouldnt make assumptions about everyone. Could the same comment be made about cribs, play yards etc? if you are a good parent of course you keep an eye on your child. No product can replace responsible parenting.

After getting the fix kit for our Bumbo chair from the recall....it works great and I feel much better about putting my daughter in it. The kit was easy to apply to the chair so now babies have a waist strap to help secure them in. I still hope parents realize to not put their babies in these on raised surfaces. Tipping is possible if you have a baby that is a mover and wiggler. I have found no problems using it with my little one when it is on our carpeted floor. It has helped her with sitting up to play and feeding time. Light weight and portable. Easy to clean. Variety of colors. There is a tray you can purchase to go with it. We love our Bumbo chair.

I loved this seat for my son and he was always very happy in it. I think it was very over priced though. We never bought the tray to go with it and around 5 or 6 months my son's legs were too chubby to fit in and he has never been above the 66th percentile for weight..

I am a childcare provider and the Bumbo seat (with the safety package) is great. For my little ones who either cannot sit up on their own or are just learning they can be right where everyone else is but they are safe and secure. Mine all have trays attached too so toys have a place to sit as well. I like that the seat is small and portable for when we go outside or on an outing.

Great for babies just learning to sit up

My son hated it!!!! My daughter LOVED it!!!! It was so useful and loved being able to play and interact with her while she still wasn't able to sit on her own.

Great for little babies but for chubby legged toddlers they can get stuck and tip over easily.

This comes in very handy for single parents, wherever you are in the house put baby in and get things done! Also great for babies learning to dot up by themselves.

I used the bumbo all the time when my son was a baby. I used it to help him pose for pictures, teach him how to sit up right, feed him. It was a lifesaver. I buy one for every baby shower I go to.
