Best movie I have seen all year! Made me laugh, cry, it was such a good story

I thought this movie was amazing! It made you laugh, cry, and caused you experience a variety of emotions. I never got bored watching it! My husband really enjoyed it too, so it is a movie for men too!

awesome movie

This is a movie that I will say I didn't think I would like at first as drama is not my typical genre of movies. I was curious though because of all the hype about the book and movie. I am so glad I saw the movie and since watching it I have also read the book. Now if you read the book, the movie is pretty true, there are just some pieces I noticed weren't in the movie or were changed. The Help is a movie about a twenty-something white girl, Skeeter, who dreams of becoming a writer. Now in the 1960s women maybe went to college but they did so only to meet men, start families and have babies. Skeeter decides she wants to write a book on the point of view of the help, which you can only imagine how controversal it would have been. She secretly does this with the help of Abileen, her friend's maid, who then recruits other maids. It is amazing how the white women thought they were so much better than their maids, who actually raised them and their children, as well as cleaning and cooking for them. I cried, I laughed and I rooted for the characters in the movie. The actresses in the movie did an awesome job portraying their characters and I don't think I would have changed anything. I can actually watch the movie and not get sick of it as I still keep on laughing. All I have to say too is chocolate pie will never be the same to me?

great movie, learned much about the old days, that I neverk new, There were many great actors in this movie

I thought "The Help" was an incredible movie. It was written in such a way that you felt every emotion of each character. I laughed hysterically, I cried a few times (feelings of joy and sorrow). I felt very connected with each character and wanted to jump in and give my thoughts to them. The selection of actors/actresses was superb. Just an overwhelmingly terrific movie. I hope it wins big at the Oscars!

This is an incredible movie. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. A little bit of every emotion is felt in this movie. 5 stars

I bought this movie and was told to and was given the book to read before doing so. I didnt and loved the movie. Didnt like the ending too much but it was a good movie. I have read books before watching the movie and have been disappointed so I didnt want to do that this time.

Such a good movie, holds your intest through the entire thing. Great cast members and an aewsome storyline!

this was a great movie really inlighted me as to how black people were treated, like 2nd class citizens, i knew they were treated badly but to see it and there side of it was even better and it never should have been that way in the first place. im from mi.., but live in the south now , and the older generation is still like this and this only teaches our young people to be this way.. i think the younger at least teens should watch this move.. but then everyone has there opinion which they are entitled to, and thats ok too. my husband liked this movie too we bought it and i will watch it over and over and they all need to win an oscar because it took them all to make it great... it also shows how these group of people treated the ones badly if they didnt fit "in" kinda like being a bulley.. if you stick together you can do!!!! this movie belongs with the list of great all time movies...

great movie! had the right balance of everything so it wouldnt be awkward or have those moments of wow really?! the best movie

This is a movie that I will watch over and over again!! I grew up in the 60's in New England it was a different world than the South back then. This movie is almost like a history lesson. % stars all the way! I hope the walk away with lots of Oscars!

I loved this movie! Now I want to read the book.

This movie is really good I still feel we can relate in our time to how people treat others in this movie, i see it in our generation just different. It is such a moving movie !

I read the book by Kathryn Stockett before I was aware that it was being made into a movie. I was very excited for the movie version to come out - the casting was excellent, and the trailers looked very good. I liked the movie a great deal, BUT... I did not feel that it lived up to the emotional intensity of the book. You can't fit book into a 2 hour movie - something always suffers. I thought the screenplay was worthy, the actors were all superb, yet I just did not have that powerful feel for what those women went through that came through in the book. Again - it was a very, very well done movie, but if you haven't already - read the book.
