I love this movie. I have watched it several times and do not get tired of it. Such a wonderful story.

i watched this movie with my 11 year old daughter, after reading the book, it was the first time she cried during a movie. It was a profound moment to me. To see her actually feel the emotion was amazing. It brought a very great discussion to the table, between the two of us. Great!

Our family owns this movie now. We watch it at least twice per year.

I love this movie, the story is very heartwarming and a little sad at the same time. My kids and I watched it the first time together. It was sad to see what some of the women during this period in time had to deal with. And it was great seeing people stand up for them. There is quite a bit of humor in the movie as well, which makes the story. It is a longer than usual movie, but I feel it needed to be in order to tell the story in the proper way. The actresses and actors they chose for this movie worked very well.

I am a true believer that the book will always be better than the movie. However, this movie is exceptionally well done and follows the book as closely as it can without being 8 hours long. It is also such a great stand alone movie, where people could enjoy it without knowing there was a book first. This movie is one of my top favorites and I place it right up there with Steel Magnolias. It has such heart and evokes so much emotion. It gives a true life portrayal of what life was actually like back then. I would tell anyone and everyone to see this movie. It is a classic and will be around for years to come.

Absolutely love this movie! Definitely a movie that is family friendly but also provides inspiration and perspective all in one go!

Get your tissues ready! I love this movie and have watched it several times. The story is heart breaking and heart warming. You will be shocked, happy, sad a roller coaster of emotions. You see a story being written, people changing, relationships growing, independence growing and people coming together and apart at the seams! This movie won awards and deserved too! I highly recommend this movie and please pay attention to the pie!

I loved this movie. I cried when I watched it. I felt for some of the people in it. I loved the saying in the movie most of all : you is kind, you is smart an so forth. Things like that appeal to me. I made my teenagers watch it as well. I have watched it several times. It is one I would own. Think I will see if Netflix has it just so I can watch it again.
