Like anything new; one must proceed with this product with caution to prevent fearfulness with your dog. The first time I attempted this with my pup who weighs only 9 lbs; I simply turned it on for a couple of seconds. I did this for a day or so. He was already used to me touching his paws as part of his puppy training so my next step was to hold his paw with the trimmer near it. By the third day;we were ready to trim with no fear. While I do find that it does vibrate the paw and the nailbed(like anything with a motor is apt to do!) I found that by holding the base of his paw where the nail extends from; prevents the vibration. It has worked beautifully for us and he always gets a treat after use. I think pet owners simply need to be patient with their pooch and build them up to being able to tolerate the noise and not fear it. My pup is also not aftraid of vacuum cleaners. Why? Because I was patient introducing him to it!!!! I prefer this product to all of my snippers .

I have two small dogs (under 12 pounds) and they HATE having their nails trimmed. Since they have black nails, it is often difficult to judge where the quick starts. I got PediPaws as a last resort. After introducing them to the feelings of it, they sit and have their nails trimmed with little resistance. The product works well for me, I haven't had any issues with it stopping.

i have this product and use it on my boston terrier bulldogs. they are so calm and quiet when we use pedi-paws. they hate the clippers so i love this product..

My husband and I bought a German Sheppard and it desperatly needed it's toes clipped. I didn't want to hurt him and went out and found this! Worked great...he just stood there and let me do it. So unstessful!

I love this product. Althought I do think it could use some more power. Works great on my little dogs. I can see where it would be a problem for bigger dogs.

I have my pedi paws for over 3yrs, minus the last 6 months I haven't been able to use it because I misplaced it in my home. Anyhoo, when I did use it, I found it to be difficult to use in the beginning because I have small hands and this product is a bit on the clunky side but once I took the time to introduce the product to my pet, it became easier to use. Cons: a bit bulky, loud noise, several tries to get the hang of it. Pros: noise was no issue after the initial introduction to the product, the grinder actually grinds down the nail as long as you follow the directions exactly to the letter, product is safe to use and easy to clean up and any additional accessories are readily available.

My dog was extremely paranoid about getting her nails clipped. It was a chore that left her terrified and me in tears. As a last stitch effort before I took her to a groomer I got this and she LOVED it! I was able to trim her nails and she would fall asleep while I did it.. I guess she felt like she was getting a little massage. Love this thing!

My dog freaks out every time anyone tries to clip her nails. At the vet's office she needs to be sedated to do it, and I hear her yelping all the way out in the waiting area. This product is amazing. She doesn't mind it one bit, and lays quietly while I file her nails. It's definitely the way to go.

Life saver. No more guessing where the quick is in my dogs black claws. Have to slowly get them used to the sound but then it's the perfect product for dog owners. No bleeding, no sharp nails. Awesome
