This is the original that all the costumes and characters are based on when Dr. Suess is mentioned. I admit, the first time I read this book, like many by Dr. Suess books, I was tongue tied! That is part of the fun. The more my kids requested it however, I started really being able to fly thru it- and they requested it alot. This book is so much fun to read and animate to my children. It also brings about the idea of 'sight words' because the rhyming and repetition. Some of the Dr.'s books are just rhyme, but I enjoy those that do follow a story and make some sense. Awesome fun book that will entertain your children and your tongue for many many years!

I love this book, and so does my son. This is such a good book. I never get tired of reading it and my son never gets tired of hearing it. It's a wholesome, fun, and entertaining book for the entire family.

We just got this for my daughter and she loves it! She tells me that it's going to rain and me & Daddy are going to leave and the Cat in the Hat is going to come to her house :) It's a great bedtime story for her, too, and is just long enough that it has her eyes closed by the end.

I love this book, I am 45 years old and I can never get sick of this book or any of there books. i have a collection of them in my house and when my nieces and nephew come over we read this one and another one. And when they are not there I still read them by myself. You can not get to old for Dr. Suess book. They are a learning experience and the are easy enough for the children to read and learn and enjoy them. Keep up the good work!!!!

This is an all-time classic in my house. I read it to both of my kids at night (they're now almost 17 & 12). I always managed to get tongue-tied, which totally cracked them (and me) up. Cat In The Hat is such a fun book for any age. One of my favorites!!

I am currently 30 yrs old. I remember this book when I was in elementary school. I love Dr. Suess. I have read the books to my nephews growing up and now my niece can experience the whole era. This is definitely a childhood classic.

I love the Cat in the Hat books they are so much fun to read with my two year old.

Who doesn't love this book? I grew up reading the book, read it to my chidren and now my grandaughter. This is one of those that will thrive forever for children everywhere!

one of my favorite children s books, i love all of his books and is a name i trust. I think that it is very neat that they were first written to get adults to be able to read but were so good that they are a fundamental! They have been passed down from generations and still loved today

Love all of Dr. Seuss' books, but The Cat In The Hat is my favorite. My 5 year old also loves it. I love listening him read it to me. He's in Kindergarten and learning to read and it's so cute.

My children love and loved this book the ryming gets them right into it I have been reading this book on an off for the last 17 yrs for my children not to mention kids I have babysat before then it's always the first book I grab for the little ones

I got this book for my son's 6th birthday. He absolutely fell in love with it! His favorite thing about Dr. Seuss The Cat In The Hat is the way everything rhymes. He is now trying to Rhyme all the time! He can even read some of the sentences himself! I myself grew up reading Dr. Seuss Books so it was no surprise that my son would enjoy it just as much as i did!

Another favorite around here! The kids love these books and its one of the very few I don't mind reading over and over and over.

This book is my all- time favorite. It is a classic! My children love it, and they love to read it over and over again. This is what I give as gift to every new parent. Simply the best!

This was the first I remember my mother reading me, and I read it to my nieces and nephews! It is a classic that is well worth the read!
