Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 girls have missed school because they can’t afford period protection? It’s not just school they miss. It also means missing out on activities they love, like sports practices, drama club, or student council.
At puberty, girls’ confidence plummets, and having to miss activities because of lack of access to period products only makes this drop in confidence worse. Missing out can limit a girl’s potential and opportunities far beyond puberty.
We’re so excited to support Always & Walmart's Live #LikeAGirl campaign to spread the word about this important issue as they work to #EndPeriodPoverty. Always and Walmart are donating a year’s supply of period products to 50 teams in 50 states, so girls in need don’t have to miss out on the activities they love because they don’t have access to period protection.

I think it's really important to openly talk more about period poverty to anyone willing to listen so that it is known that it is a real thing and that it's okay to talk or ask for a extra pad or tampon. When I was young I was embarrassed when my period struck and I didn't have anything and was nervous about asking someone for a pad or tampon. Girls and women should feel confident in their bodies and feeling comfortable enough to talk about something that is natural.
This is a good thing to bring attention to. Even back as I was growing up, my mom always managed to get my "little boxes". But several girls at school had to use rags. It was very embarrassing for them and that was back 50 years ago when acceptance was more the norm unlike today when it is more than difficult to be different.
Thank you for this chance!!
Join me for some great gifts

Thanks for opening up our eyes to such a great program and need.
This is such a wonderful story. I really opened up my eyes.
That is great video about strong women
I've been there when I was younger and on my isn as a 15 yr old.. went without lots... it sucks!
Wow so cool!
No girl should ever have to do without pads or tampons when on their period! But i know first hand it happens. And its embarrassing to ask if anyone has some they can spare :/
I truly didn't realize how much this was a impact on Are young ladies until my daughter asked me one morning before school If she could take some tampons to her friend
I am a single mom and know the struggles of having to budget money to make sure that my daughter has everything she needs some weeks are tougher than others, but I try to never have her worry about needing her sanitary products
Bravvo keep up the good shares!
