There have been hints of a comeback in recent years but now it is official. The 1980's is the lastest fashion trend.
Yes, the 80's are back - think shoulder pads, leg warmers and Madonna cassette tapes. But whether you lived through it before, or you were not around to be a witness, there are several ways you can get into the style, without going over the top. Read on to find out how.
Plus, tell us your favorite - or least favorite - '80s look and you'll have the chance to win an '80s Candy Gift Box, full of delicious retro memories, including Bottle Caps, Lemonheads & Wax Fangs!
Demin jackets, especially acid washed, were all the rage. And to make them even more personal, they were lovingly decorated with patches and spray paint. Luckily, personal style is also big in 2017. Feel free to rock your denim jacket - and even add a little bling.
Leggings are fine, but not the kind that has a strap that slips beneath your foot. No reason for your pants to get tucked in to your high-tops anymore.
In the '80s, brighter was better. It was important to attract attention and make a statement. We should follow that direction and not be afraid to shine! But this year, try keeping it to just one piece, and not the entire outfit.
Everything was more intense in the '80s, so it's no surprise that the make-up was too, especially the eye shadow which came in shades of blue, purple and pink - sometimes all of those colors at once. Brightly colored make-up is still used now, which is great, but this time it could be a little more blended and a lot more subtle.
Back then, we cut sweatshirts at just the right width, so that it could drape over one shoulder. Of course, a ton of plastic jewelry was then the perfect accessory. You can still wear dresses and shirts that have a fun off-the-shoulder look. Just try to avoid scissor marks and that mountain of jelly bracelets.
No explanation needed.

I love neon colors and clogs. I love that the 80's are back in style.
Off the shoulder tops! Perfect for leggings! Not a fan of big hair since my hair does that naturally, smh.
farrah haircut
Stirrups were so easy to slide on but they never seemed to fit my tall body! They always pulled too much and you could see the elastic peeking out of my shoes. And the hair. Oh my goodness--huge!
I love so much from the 80s but please avoid big hair and leg warmers. And welcome back hairbands.
ANYTHING neon and ALL of the music!!
I love Blair's hair. It brings me back to those days when I wore that style!
Remembering Olivia Newton John in Grease and the great hairstyle she has at the end of the movie, this is a popular hairstyle now coming back and also the stylish sunglasses. For the guys the hairstyles like Michael J. Fox in Back To The Future and Kevin Bacon from Footloose, more of a relaxing and loose look. And not to forget hairspray now also very popular. Leggings have been around for awhile now and also from the 80's. For the least favorite I would have to say that dial phones although popular back then would not be favored with today's technology and be more of a conversation piece.
Love the off the shoulder tops and the MUSIC of course!
I can't live without my neon and sequins!
off the shoulder tops
glad off the shoulder tops, neon, and denim are back
I'm here for the return sequins and the new neon, which is #pastelneon since its more subtle and just as vibrant. I also love big 80's textured hair. The 2017 spin on the 80's has a touch of minimalism and futurism to it that if done right is super duper chic!
I like that the clogs are back, I also like the big hair. I hate my flat hair now.
I forgot all about stir ups but I think customized denim was my favorite!
