There have been hints of a comeback in recent years but now it is official. The 1980's is the lastest fashion trend.
Yes, the 80's are back - think shoulder pads, leg warmers and Madonna cassette tapes. But whether you lived through it before, or you were not around to be a witness, there are several ways you can get into the style, without going over the top. Read on to find out how.
Plus, tell us your favorite - or least favorite - '80s look and you'll have the chance to win an '80s Candy Gift Box, full of delicious retro memories, including Bottle Caps, Lemonheads & Wax Fangs!
Demin jackets, especially acid washed, were all the rage. And to make them even more personal, they were lovingly decorated with patches and spray paint. Luckily, personal style is also big in 2017. Feel free to rock your denim jacket - and even add a little bling.
Leggings are fine, but not the kind that has a strap that slips beneath your foot. No reason for your pants to get tucked in to your high-tops anymore.
In the '80s, brighter was better. It was important to attract attention and make a statement. We should follow that direction and not be afraid to shine! But this year, try keeping it to just one piece, and not the entire outfit.
Everything was more intense in the '80s, so it's no surprise that the make-up was too, especially the eye shadow which came in shades of blue, purple and pink - sometimes all of those colors at once. Brightly colored make-up is still used now, which is great, but this time it could be a little more blended and a lot more subtle.
Back then, we cut sweatshirts at just the right width, so that it could drape over one shoulder. Of course, a ton of plastic jewelry was then the perfect accessory. You can still wear dresses and shirts that have a fun off-the-shoulder look. Just try to avoid scissor marks and that mountain of jelly bracelets.
No explanation needed.

I was glad to leave the permanent wave hair fad behind. They always cost me a fortune and never quite looked right on me.
Candy necklaces and jewelry were awesome. You never know when you'll get hungry!
Denim Jacket
I loved the Poof Hair Styles as long at the top wasn't 8" high, like some of those girls/women wore it - Yikes!! Especially when they had Little to NO perm in the top sections and you could see the matted down tease they did without covering it up ;) You'll see what I mean in a year or two as that look is coming back....Awe those perms :o I hated shoulder pads!! I had/have very broad shoulders so I looked like I was a line backer if I didn't cut them out ;)
denim jackets.
Neon shirts and acid washed jeans were my favorites
I use to have the big permed hair. OMG we will be leaving that one behind
I love sequins and off the shoulder tops! I would wear them both everyday if I could!
Stirrup pants are the only thing that I did of these choices.
I don't need huge helmet head but I do like hair with a little volume! And denim jackets are always great!
My favorite candy bar was Summit. I think they discontinued it a long time ago.
I've been gravitating towards off-the-shoulder things for the last few months, didn't realize it was on-trend! And I've owned denim jackets through the years, guess I will just have to customize them a little more. Fun!
Stirrup pants were the worst!
I loved the Aquanet Purple Can Hair Spray that set the hair hard as a rock and made hair bigger than imaginable! I loved the link-em-stick candy, Starburst and Sweettarts, but really all of the 80s candies. Also, the Jordache jeans and satin phase!
I do think stirrup pant should only be for kids and gymnastics, but I do love me some denim jackets ad over the shoulder shirts... sexy!
