Paper tablecloths (white) with brightly colored markers....keeps them busy while waiting for the food/cake!
Thanks for the opportunity.
I always make sure there are crayons and plain paper for them to draw while waiting for dinner and I have them help me add flowers they either picked or made out of construction paper and pipe cleaners, so they feel that they had a hand in helping set the table
I always make sure that i have a plastic cover up under neath the table and give lots of paper and crayon for them
I place everything in a small box and let them put the items on the table, nothing breakable of course.
A plastic shower curtain under the table and chairs. Ice cube tray for paints or craft supplies (beads, glitter, sequins, etc).
Taping the paper to the table with masking tape is a good idea.
I love the idea of using butcher block paper, my mind is blown ! Every Christmas I host a children's sugar cookie decorating party and this would make cleanup a whole lot easier !
Utilize a fun theme and give them something to do.
