We know how hard women can be on themselves. This can be even more true for Moms.

Several notable ad campaigns depicted the pressure women put on themselves in the last few weeks:

We lost my mom a year ago now. All I can remember growing up is her selfless giving of herself. One piece of cake she was saving for herself? She let my sister and me split it. The last of anything she was saving for herself always got split between my sister and me. Always thinking of others and putting herself last. She needed a new winter coat, but the made due with what she had to fulfill our Christmas lists. She was the most giving woman I ever knew. My greatest "Mom" moment was when my aunt told me that I'm just like my mom was! The greatest compliment I could ever receive!

My mother passed away in July of 2013. My mother in law has fulfilled every expectation and then some when it comes to being a mother figure. She has stood by her son and I every step of the way while we start our own family, purchased our first home, and all the milestones in between...the ups and the downs. No matter what is happening in her life, she is always there for the ones she loves. I care for her more than words can possibly convey and she deserves this and so much more. She is the most selfless person I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She has dedicated her life and love to her family and her church. She is giving and caring, soft, inspiring, and beautiful all around. Not to mention, a talented artist. I would be so pleased to know if you chose my mother in law Stephanie Seagraves as the winner. She truly deserves it!

My 8 year old son has ADHD and behaves a bit differently than other children his age. I am very proud as a parent that I have made helped make him a loving and sweet kid. I made a concerted effort to give lots of hugs and physical attention. I think this has been the saving grace for him in the classroom despite his ADHD. His teachers always have wonderful things to say about him and they comment about how sensitive and sweet his is. If he had teachers who were less accepting of how he is, school would be a lot tougher for him.

I live in Chicago and most of my 21 year old son's friends has decided to stop going to college and as much as it's so easy to give up, my son hasn't. He is a senior at the Illinois Institute of Art and is doing really well. He is also working at Target part-time and on top of all that, he is working to grow his side business in graphic design by doing work for people. I am so very proud of him and I know he's going to be successful. Next year when he graduates, I'm sure I will be the one with the biggest smile. :)

I am proud of my mother's patience and understanding. Her patience shaped me into the woman I am today. Whenever I became a little unruly, she guided me to a better path. She gave me encouraging words to let me know that I will become a person of great importance. One day when I have my child, I hope they will be as proud of me.

I'm proud of my boys for having the same heart for animals as me. We are animal rescue partners and have saved quite a few lives where we live.

My son saw a piece of trash on the ground last week, picked up it up and told me "we have to save the Earth!" I almost cried it was so sweet. Very proud of him for wanting to help the environment
