I am so proud to call my mother mine. She is not only my mother, she is my best friend. My mom gave up everything to have a big family. I am the youngest of TEN children. My dad was a miner and my mom worked two sometimes three jobs at a time so they could get us the things we needed. Times were very hard and we were poor, but the one thing we always had was love.

My mom was outside in the backyard and there was a bunch of baby chicks and their mom walking in the yard. A chicken hawk came down and tried to get one of the chicks, the mother chicken went crazy trying to protect her kids. my mom grabbed a broom and began swinging at the bird to get it away. We kids stood there and started laughing at our mom but now I realize that my mom and that mommy chicken would do the same thing for their kids, fight off attackers and protect her kids.

I'm a single mother of 3 children. My children bring me joy each and every day. The days I'm so overwhelmed by doing things alone with no support system, i look at the smile on their face makes it all worth it.

I have taught my 16 and 22 year old daughters to always look at the positive in every situation regardless of how negative it may seem and that everything in life happens for a reason. Every situation could always be worse and there is someone out there in a worse situation. They have become very strong, beautiful, caring young women that make me proud everyday. Their positive attitudes are what keeps me thriving to do my best everyday in everything I do. Whenever I'm having a bad day or think it couldn't get worse, they are the ones to say exactly what I have told them all their lives to make me feel that much better. I see parents everyday with children that have terrible attitudes, very disrespectful and violent to others. It makes me realize that much more how blessed I am to have such great kids that listened and followed my advice.

My mother is amazing. I am currently surviving cancer, and my mother has been there for all of my ups and downs. While I was in another state receiving treatment, she was my listening board and my shoulder for strength. My marriage disintegrated while I was in chemotherapy. My mother took me and my children in when we were forced out of our home. I am so very thankful I have a mother like mine!

I just had a mom moment recently where my kids were both mad at me for not letting them do something and I punished them and we had a little trist. they spent the whole day being mad and then later that day both came and hugged me and said they were sorry, that it was hurting them to stay mad at me that long.

I'm always the one taking care of my daughter when she is sick. I was so proud of her when I asked her if she wanted to go to my in laws when I was sick and she told me, "no mommy. I need to stay here and take care of you." I'm so glad she is growing up to be such a kind and loving little girl. :)

Growing up I always said I was never having children, and then in my twenties I had a medical occurrence and the doctors said I may never be able to. I was in disbelief, and quite saddened at the thought that I may "never". That word I'd used before had much more meaning coming from the doctor. I think my never was more of a not any time soon, or maybe we will see...not the same never he spoke of. A little over a year passed, and while I wasn't trying to have a baby I wasn't not trying either. We had decided to just see, and if it was meant to be it would be. In 2001 I was blessed to find out I was having a baby girl, which was followed by another in 2005. So what is MY PROUD MOM moment? Getting the chance to be one! Being a Mother has and will always be the best part of me. I love my girls so very much.

I am extremely proud of all four of my kids. Seeing that they are each healthy, happy and extremely caring children, let's me know that I have raised them right. They range from 11 months old to 11years but I am amazed every day at each and every one of them.

Im a proud mom of a 2 1/2 year old daughter who was recently diagnosed with Moderate Autism. She has come along way this past year, her therapists are helpin her so much and she learns something new everyday. Can waiy for the day when she finally talks so I can hear her beautiful voice. To me even though she was diagnosed, she is just absolutely perfect and has the most special cooky character. Love my LoveBug more than anything in this world and wouldnt change her in anyway.

My mom moment that makes me very proud is knowing that as a single parent I have raised amazing children with great values and I know that they cherish and are grateful for everything I do for them as they continue to remind me. My oldest are strong and independent young men that some day will be amazing husband's & fathers. I am blessed with this children and would not change anything about them .

My proud mom moment is everyday, because Im always proud of my kids. But one moment that sticks out is when we were told that there was a local family who did not have any toys for their 1 yr old boy for Christmas or even just in general. The little boy only had blankets and pillows to play with, with his momma, so my son who is 12 has a wrestling collection and he went in his room and grabbed some of his favorite wrestlers and said here mom, we can give these to the little boy, I was so proud of him, and told him that was very sweet and a very selfless thing to do because I know how much he love his Wrestlers. I did not let him give them to him because they were not suitable for a 1 yr old but instead we donated a ton of other toys and purchased some winter items that were needed and some outfits. helping others is what makes the world go round. I am raising my kids to not be selfish, we may not have a lot but, there is someone out there who doesnt even have a little.
