Her Serene Highness, Grace of Monaco | Mary Queen of Scots | Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge |
designed by Helen Rose | designed by Monique Lhuillier | designed by Sarah Burton |
The first trend on our list, Long Lace Sleeves, may be inspired by 3 Royal Brides, namely Grace Kelly (whose fashions will soon be appearing on the big screen in the biopic Grace of Monaco with Nicole Kidman in the title role), Mary Queen of Scots (whose costuming has been burning up the tv screen in the CW's REIGN, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. |
Ersa Atelier | Winnie Couture | Monique Lhuillier |
The next trend is The Blushing Bride as all manner of 'think pink' dresses continue in popularity - every shade from fuchsia to peony to powder is available as evidenced by celebrity brides Jessica Biel, Reese Witherspoon, and Kaley Cuoco. |
Vera Wang | Monique Lhuillier | Oscar de la Renta |
The last trend is Sculptural Fabrics and shapes, with the return of duchesse satin that creates a tailored look in contrast to the Boho, unstructured feeling of recent years. |
Pronovias | Rosa Clara | Theia |

I loveeee the one above on "Mary Queen of Scotts" by Monique Lhuillier. It's STUNNING! It's a bit of a coincidence that as an 8 yr old I was a flower girl and my dress is very similar!
I like the Theia themed dress, something that covers my chest but not my shoulders.
I absolutely loved Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen. I love the lace embroidery and the classic white dress. I love the classic white dress with a little volume at the ends.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE The Mary Queen of Scots gown. If I were getting married I would buy that dress!
I love the Vera Wang above!
I like mermaid dresses but if I was daring enough I would pick a lace see through at the top.
I prefer princess ballroom gowns.
I love the Winnit Couture dress! I'm actually looking at dresses as I'm getting married next year! I'm preferable to something simple and slightly bohemian.
I just love the style of dress that Kate Middleton wore. That would be my ideal wedding gown.
I love the mary queen of scots dress.
I like a dress that I can move around in. Something that isn't too princess like but has some lace or adornments. I prefer something with straps.
The Rosa Clara above is very nice.
I think the Monique Lhuillier is gorgeous! I love that one!
I love the old-fashioned white lacy Cinderella gowns with a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, long sleeves and a small but poufy train to the skirt. When else can we look like a princess! (And I personally despise these sleeveless, skintight mermaid wedding dresses - yuk.)
Kate Middleton, very elegant very me!!!
