There are days when I have had my fill of social media. There are days when there is so much negativity, nasty remarks and so many untruths. When you read something on social media, I think you need to fact check what is stated.
I feel that many women today support more women than they did many years ago. However, I still feel that some women bosses are not as compassionate and understanding as they need to be. When I was working I had many women bosses and they were not supportive at all. Many favored men over women. I still don't understand how many women can support someone that is not supportive of woman and has been known to harass women. I never felt supported by my former women bosses. I don"t know if it was because I was more educated than they were, my religion or just jealousy. I feel that there needs to be a lot more progress in women supporting women in many areas, not just the work environment.
I belong to a certain Facebook group consisting of all women and we gift each other things on our Amazon Wishlists. More often than not, I do it secretly without the other woman knowing who bought those items she so desperately needed/wanted. It's always a nice surprise receive a package with a smile, especially during these troubling times.
I use socia media to watch news casts that aired earlier in the day.
