This week, we sent out a SheSpeaks Community Survey to learn more about you, our members. Thanks to all who took it - we were excited to read all that you had to say.

Check out some of the results and continue the conversation below. Then enter for the chance to win $50 to get started on your dreams!

How we are Feeling

Though most of you would like things to improve in your life, it was great to see that the majority of you still consider yourself happy and that you find your life fulfilling. We especially loved learning how many of you would like to have an impact on the world!
Tell us more: What do you want to improve about your life? What do you find fulfilling?

Our Dreams & Motivation

Many of us have dreams of personal enrichment projects that we've started or would like to start, though we sometimes have difficulty finding the energy to get started.
Tell us more: What personal enrichment projects would you like to start - or have you started?

Women Supporting Women

43% of you said that women are supportive of other women most of the time and 54% said they are supportive sometimes but not often. Our members feel that women are most supportive of each other in their personal life and less supportive in politics or at their work or job.
Tell us more: How have you felt supported by other women?

Social Media

We look to social media to connect with friends and family, to be entertained, to pass the time and to keep up-to-date on news and current events.
Tell us more: Why do you use - or not use - social media?

Let's continue the conversation! Enter to win $50 to get started on your dreams!

There are three ways to enter:
  1. Comment below with your answers to any of the questions asked in the blog post above.
  2. Take the survey HERE. Note: everyone who takes this survey is eligible to win one of three Amazon gift cards.
  3. Comment on our discussion board HERE.
The more you enter, the more chances you have to win!

*One lucky contestant will be chosen at random to receive $50. Winner can choose how the prize is given: PayPal, or a gift card to Walmart, Amazon or Target. Giveaway is open through June 7, 2020 to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age. Entrants must be a member of SheSpeaks. If you are not a member, click here to join. Winner will be notified by email.

Women supporting women:
"54% said they are supportive sometimes but not often."  This is very sad to me, and I agree that women are "less supportive in politics or at their work or job." Women are too competitive with each other. Because we are often portrayed as "less" than men, we need to support each other more.

I think connection is extremely powerful. But signing a connection with an empowering women's networking group is difficult. Even when women try really hard to be supportive of each other, in the end it seems they always end up tearing each other down. I have left more than 25 women groups since covid-19 began to be an issue in the US. I choose not to be around that negativity or take it in.

I work in retail and make very little money. I was going through my savings rapidly before Corona hit. It is important for me now more than ever to find a new job. Not only from a standpoint that I could not afford the bills before working in retail but now from a standpoint that I do not want so much interaction with the public anymore with the virus going around. Also if something like this were to happen again I would like the security of being able to work from home and not have hours cut or have no hours at all.

I have been using Social Media a bit more now because, my relatives are very far away, and some of us live in the Covid19 hot spots, so I want to keep checking on them, that they are OK.

For me, social media is a way to stay connected to others, establish new connections, learn, explore and cultivate my interests. It keeps me up to date and in-the-know with the latest happenings.

I use social media because it helps me connect with family and friends that I cannot see. It also gives me some time to have mindless fun and relax.
