Fall is here, which means there is so much to get excited about. We love seeing the beautiful colors of fall foliage, sitting outside in the crisp air with a warm drink, and putting on our favorite jeans and sweater - but no bulky coat.
And now there are several more things about this amazing season that you didn't even know. Check out new reasons you'll be falling for fall this year and enter to win your favorite Halloween candy to hand out (or eat!)
We all know apples are in season, but are you taking advantage of all the the varieties you can get this time of year? So far, we've tried the SweeTango, Pink Lady and Piñata, and they are all delish! With so many apples available, you can practically work them into every meal. Check out these recipes from our members, including Candy Bar Apple Salad, Miss M's Apple-zones, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Apple, Creme Fraiche and Pistachios. Or, just slice them up with your favorite cheeses - and wine - for a refreshing snack, any time.
Odds are, you probably didn't know that there was a day to celebrate podcasts. But there's a good chance that you have a favorite podcast to listen to. Podcasts are like yesterday's radio, but you can dowload the series you want, when you want them. Take advantage of this day to learn about great, new podcasts. Our favorites are Forever 35, Judge John Hodgman, and Katie Couric. What're yours?
We love to get together with friends in the fall because the weather is perfect to sit outside long into the night. But, as always, we dread the work of hosting. That was, until we saw Ina Garten's new Instagram video where she serves store-bought snacks to her guests. If Ina Garten can pour potato chips into fancy bowls and call them special, so can we!
We thought every fall day was Pumpkin Spice Day, but it turns out there's an offical flavor holiday. We'll celebrate this year by stocking up on the limited edition Dunkin' Donuts Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee here. It's so convenient to keep in the fridge and have ready for our daily coffee craving. We're also fans of the Chobani Flip Pumpkin Harvest Crisp and the Peanut Butter & Co. Pumpkin Spice Peanut Butter. There's no way we can wait until Oct 1 to enjoy it all.
What better way to warm up on a cool fall day, than with a candle? And what better candle than one that reminds you of home? That's why we're buying up these Homesick Candles from Uncommon Goods. Each candle has an individual scent profile to represent a different state. For example, the New York candle smells like apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin. The Colorado scent is spruce, cedar, sandalwood, amber, and cinnamon. And Hawaii is pineapple, coconut, cyclamen flowers, and sugar. Perfect for friends who have moved away, for college students who are out-of-state and for ourselves, to remind us of vacations we wish were were still on.
If you haven't rung a Ring Video Doorbell yet, you will. These wifi enabled doorbells let you see, hear and speak to guests from your phone, tablet or PC. There are motion sensors so you'll know if anyone is approaching, and you can watch live video at anytime from anywhere. Best part is, you don't need a professional to install it. Yes, this is great for any time of year. But we especially can't wait to use it on Halloween. Now we'll be prepared to ooh and ahh over the little trick-or-treaters, and jump out to spook the bigger ones!
*One lucky commenter, Tweeter, or Reviewer will be chosen at random to receive their choice of candy, valued at approximately $50, provided it can be bought on Amazon. Giveaway is open through October 14, 2018 to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age. Entrants must be a member of SheSpeaks. If you are not a member, click here to join. I'm loving the foliage- absolutely beautiful!
I love the Fall weather and taking my grandsons to the pumpkin patch!
Although I live in Southern California and we don't really get "fall" here, the nights are still chilly! So I'm loving putting on some jeans and a cozy sweater, carving pumpkins, bonfires with our neighbors and lots of baking - pumpkin anything to eat and share!
Citrus pumpkin spice potpourri in a fun fall container and homemade gluten free pumpkin dark chocolate chip bread are my current faves
I loooovvvee Halloween candy. My favorite candy choices are Reese, KitKat , Twix and Candycorn. My family and I have decided to make some hauntedly corny cookies this year and we are planning on hosting a Halloween party for both kids and adults to spook the party alive with our Halloween touch. This is my favorite part and most excited part.
We don't have "Fall" in Florida, but when i lived up north i loved visiting the Apple orchard and pumpkin farm. I loved bon fires on the cool nights. The smell of coal and wood burning in stoves in the fresh, crisp morning air. The changing of the leaves in the Appalachian mountains is site to behold. Surrounded by yellow, gold, green, red and bronze colors as far the eye can see. I miss coffee on the front porch wrapped up in my favorite cozy robe with fuzzy slippers while gripping the mug to keep my hands warm.
I Love the start of fall, cooler weather and picking pumpkins. I love candy time too.
im loving all the seasonal flavors!! apple pie and pumpkin spice are my favorites!!
Currently I'm loving the sweater weather all things pumpkin spice! I even bought cinnamon candles to fill my house. My favorite time of year!
I love the cooler weather in fall, love the pumpkin patch places that have pony rides, corn mazes or small hay bake mazes, hay rides out to the pumpkin patches to pick a pumpkin, fresh veggie stands they have with fall treats for sale. Kid rides. My two grandsons live with me now, so we will get to go to this. I love cooler weather to sit outside. I love baking pumpkin rolls, bread, mini pumpkin pies. Going to apple orchards to pick apples and make mini apple pies, apple slab pie, apple crisp. This weekend we are going to a pumpkin fest that also have 6 big tents of crafters, I love seeing what they make. Eating the fall food and seeing the people that make brooms, soap, chainsaw carving, etc. (I made a review on Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing and I tweeted.)
I am loving the cooler weather.

This fall is really special for me as I just moved into my new home in the mountains of TN. I'm looking forward to sitting by my fireplace watching the beautiful fall leaves from my view of the mountains.
I am loving all things apples. The crop this year seems especially good.
I love to cook and bake, so I'm loving the cozy recipe inspiration that comes with fall!
